June 16Jun 16 comment_82017 This photo hangs in my home. It was taken in my old neighborhood, a version of Harlem I would never really know. At the turn of the century, I lived in a Brownstone like the one pictured, just 7 blocks south.I often wondered what happened to the little boys in the shot. It is a sign of the times to see so many of the musicians posed for a picture holding cigarettes. I saw Dizzy perform once seeing him poking his tongue out does not surprise me 🙂 Taken today there would be more women in the shot.RIP Mr. Rollins. Report
