June 4Jun 4 comment_81799 This was our President's reaction to the "murder" of CBS's 60 Minutes. It is hard to ignore and not be outraged by the gutting of journalism here in America. This fact that this is covered as if communicating like this is perfectly normal is surreal!Local journalism is virtually dead, and national news coverage is not far behind. The real problem is few people care because they were never really trained to consume "news." and you can't miss what you never had. Report
June 5Jun 5 comment_81802 The handwriting has been om the wall since the Ellisons through Paramount Skydance have been gobbling up mass media companies. Before POTUS OJ leaves office, a lot of news will be right-wing & TV programming will be heavily white nationalistic.Paramount bought BET+ from Tyler Perry. It will be absorbed into Paramount+. I do not foresee Paramount pushing Black content. Hopefully the move to white nationalism will disappear whenever the reign of POTUS OJ ends.😎 Report
June 6Jun 6 comment_81818 I'm surprised you guys have been keeping up with this drama......lol.When I log on shit like this would come across my feed....along with what controversial thing Bill Maher said last night or what Democratic Senator John Fetterman did to double-cross the Democrats again.....and I'd brush right passed it to other news and events.I don't think journalism is dead, it's just being EXPOSED for what it has been for decades....the 4 branch of the government. And just like any other government employee, when journalists try to break rank and go rogue from the agenda or script their "superiors" lay out for them.....they get dealt with. June 7Jun 7 comment_81828 @ProfD Maybe Paramount bought BET so it could relegate all of CBS's black-oriented shows to it - a practice commonly known as "racial segregation"... Report

It's easier to curate Black TV shows & movies to a streaming platform than removing Black books from libraries & rewriting Black history.😁😎 Report
Thursday at 07:10 PM1 day comment_82054 At this moment I’m watching on MSNOW Stevie Wonder who is about to bring down the house at the Obama Center opening ceremony closing with Jennifer Hudson, Common, John Legend, Bruce Springsteen. I’m not “studying “ CBS though what’s happening to it is disheartening. White folks getting down! Report
20 hours ago20 hr comment_82058 Thanks for the like. I always respected CBS the home of “60 Minutes and intrepid Ed Bradley who died in 2006 age 65 from from complications associated with chronic lymphocytic that he most likely contracted from Agent Orange while reporting on the Vietnam war, America’s first TV war, trucking through the jungle alongside Marine infantrymen. Ed Bradly was born a year after me and was the coolest black man seen on nationwide television. I wanted to be Ed Bradley; he had an earring on, on television, in the early 80’s! Both he and “60”Minutes get a respectful treatment as I introduce him to Denny, the son of the black detective in my novel Duped in America, and is later inadvertently killed by a cop during a stolen car chase. Ed Bradley once interviewed Lena Horne on “60 Minutes” and it was a wonderful telecast showing black peopl seemingly falling in love right then with each other other, she was still beautiful, had dated Joe Louis in his prime, and Ed, a dapper confident handsome young reporter. They dazzled on the screen, remarkable kismet! Report
