Unfortunately, too many Black people get way too comfortable around non-Black people.

While most Black people will not end up a Nolan Wells, one unalived Black person hanging out with non-Black folks is too many.

IMO, this young man's parents did him a disservice if they allowed him to feel that comfortable around non-Black folks.

I see it a lot among middle-class & up Black folks who either live in mixed neighborhoods &/or send their kids to private schools & whatnot. It is even worse with interracial couples.

Those Black parents allow their children to hang out with & have sleepovers with their non-Black associates & family members.

There is no telling how many racists & anti-Black family members that Black man or woman has married into & take their mixed race kids around.

Bad enough non-Black people cannot make potato salad or cook greens or fried chicken. 🤣

Add in the fact that some of those non-Black folks like to eat weird foods & hunt all types of animals & engage in reckless activities for fun.

In the words of Dr. John Henrik Clarke, Black folks have no friends especially when it comes to non-Black people. Every now & then, we'll be reminded of it.😎

On more than one occasion at more than one job White co-workers have asked me to go hunting with them or fishing with them, and I've made it crystal clear that I wouldn't go with them.
I don't even like going to bars with them because like Uncle Phil said, they get a little tipsy and the men start talking race politics and telling weird ass jokes.
The women almost always hit on you....infront of White men.

I did not watch the 30-minute video of the guy who I'm sure just giving his opinion of the information shared at the point. I see know reason to watch to it, unless someone can explain why his opinions matters.

Now as someone who grew up in the segregated north and did not know a white person my age until I got to high school and was a full-grown man before I could call one a friend or had one in my home, I'm not nearly as paranoid as y'all are regarding white folks 😨

Also true, as a Black man who attended a three majority-white universities and worked for a couple of decades in fortune 20 companies, I was the only Black person in many spaces. There were times when racist statements were ignorantly made and is one of many reasons I left corporate America, but I was never at risk of being murdered or even physically harmed.

I have no idea what happened to this young brother, so if his "friends" turned on him and murdered him simply because was Black -- that is crazy! However, I suspect the situation is more complicated, than that simple narrative circulating around the web and enriching Mark and his boys.

The fact Ben Crump got involved is telling. Ben does not strike me as a straight up ambulance chaser, but what do I know...

Actually, I'm not paranoid when it comes to white folks.

There's more than a few white & non-Black folks who would consider me a dear friend too.

I talk to all of them the same way I write here about the system of racism white supremacy.

Some of what I say makes people uncomfortable. But, I'm too old to sugar coat sh8t.🤣

As long as racial problems exist, we must be willing to call out & confront & deal with it.

Ignoring these situations &/or burying our heads in the sand isn't constructive at all.

There's no doubt in my mind that this young man would still be alive if he wasn't overly comfortable around white folks including his girlfriend.

I'm wondering if that interracial relationship was a problem. Maybe we'll find out soon enough.😎

The parents of Nolan Wells have spoken out that there should be thorough investigation into their son's death. They also hired an independent forensic expert to perform an autopsy.😎

They said an autopsy was done and they couldn't determine the manner of death?????

I'm no forensics expert but it seems to me that anything that is capable of killing a perfectly healthy 18 year old young man should show up CRYSTAL CLEAR in any autopsy!

There's some cover-up sh8t going on with that whole situation.

Parts of the young man's inner neck & throat were missing when they did 2nd autopsy. Pathologists usually don't remove anything.

Harder to prove whether or not he was murdered before he supposedly drowned when they can't evaluate certain parts of the body.😎
