Congrats to Francia Marquez, but I hope she acts like the best of Black leadership, not the common or mediocre. Black people in South America need/warrant/deserve better than what Black people in North America had or have in government or leadership in general.

Congrats are definitely in order for Vice President elect Francia Marquez.  At 40 years old, Marquez has already accomplished a lot in her home country of Colombia. 

 

Unfortunately, Francia Marquez has a very tall order in providing Colombian leadership while surviving racial attacks and assassination attempts.  Governance will not be an easy road for her.  Godspeed.😎

I'm happy for our sista!

It's about time I start seeing more Black faces of influence in Latin America.
