Wes Moore is an author, television producer, and political analyst. He was born in Baltimore on October 15, 1978, to William Westley Moore Jr., a radio news host, and Joy Thomas Moore, a Peabody Award winner and President and CEO of JWS Media Consulting.

Moore is the Founder and CEO of BridgeEdU. BridgeEdU is a social enterprise dedicated to reinventing the Freshman Year and creating a softer on-ramp to higher education for students entering their freshman year of college. In 2017, Moore was be appointed CEO of the Robin Hood Foundation, a poverty-fighting nonprofit organization funding schools, food pantries and shelters in New York City.

Moore graduated from Valley Forge Military College and received his bachelor’s degree from Johns Hopkins University. He completed an MLitt in International Relations from Oxford University as a Rhodes Scholar. Upon graduation, he served as a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division and Captain in the United States Army, participating in a combat tour of duty in Afghanistan. He also served as a White House Fellow to Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.
