Barbara J. Satterfield
Barbara J. Satterfield is a noted children’s book author from Los Angeles. Although Mrs. Satterfield is retired from teaching in the classrooms, she holds a lifetime teaching credential from LAUSD and visits schools regularly for storytime. She is the author of Tomias The Cat, and Answer Why For Mee Mee, both of which have been widely distributed in Los Angeles County, and many other schools across the country.
She has been married to Reginald Satterfield for 61 years. She is also the mother of 3 daughters, two of whom are LAUSD educators, and the other is novelist Monica Guillemin. Mrs. Satterfield has toured in California, Washington State, Washington DC, Texas, Philadelphia, New York, New Jersey and Baltimore. She is still active in her community and teaches Sunday school.
