Denolyn Carroll

Denolyn Carroll is an educator, editor, and writer. Her career in book and magazine publishing has spanned some 25 years. She was Editorial Operations Director at Essence magazine, and has written for such publications as Essence, Black Enterprise, Emerge, American Visions, Black Issues Book Reviews, and Publishing Research Quarterly. She has taught Magazine Writing and Editing in the Master of Science in Publishing Program at Pace University, and now teaches Composition Writing and American Studies to undergraduates on Pace’s New York City campus.
