Doris Jean Austin

Doris Jean Austin was born in 1949 in Mobile, Alabama. She was a journalist and frequent contributor to such Essence magazine

Austin died of liver cancer in September 1994. She wrote one novel, After the Garden (Dutton Books, 1987).
