Biography

Leroy Baylor (April 25, 1941 to June 1, 2024), known in New York City as “Brother Leroy.”  A radio talk show host, Baylor, “The Communicator,” has followed the Nation of Islam since the 1950’s when he would listen to Minister Malcolm X debate on radio station WLIB-AM on Saturday mornings and the Honorable Elijah Muhammad’s 30-minutes radio broadcasts on Saturday afternoons on WNJR radio. He first met Min. Farrakhan (Louis X) in 1966.

His writing and talk show focus can be described as pursuing information of importance to Black people. Baylor’s experience includes marketing, ad sales, product sales, public speaking and sales training. He was born, raised and resides in Harlem; has five children and six grandchildren.
