Nina Oteria

Nina Oteria photo

Nina Oteria began writing poetry as a young girl. Her 5th-grade teachers voted her most likely to become the next poet laureate.

She has studied poetry at N.C. State University Young Writers’ and Teen Writers’ Workshops and has shared her work at public readings. She received her BA in Religion from Wake Forest University.

She is a member of the North Carolina Poetry Society. Nina writes about sight, perception, nature, and being a black woman. She lives in New York City where she is studying for her M.F.A at Pratt Institute’s Graduate Writing Program.
