Executive Producer, 360° A Revolution of Black Poets

Produced in the tradition of the Black Poetry Festivals and Conferences of the Black Arts Movement, this first National festival of contemporary Black Poetry took place at the Baltimore Museum of Art and the University of Maryland on September 11th and 12th 1998.

Hear E. Ethelbert Miller, Ruth Forman, Kalamu ya Salaam, and Toni Blackman describe the 360° Poetry Event on WAMU 88.5 FM Washington D.C

For those in attendance, you already know how fantastic this event was; bringing together classic greats like Mari Evans, Sonia Sanchez, Haki Madhubuti, E. Ethelbert Miller, and the next generation of greats like   Ras Baraka, Jessica Care Moore and, believe me, many many others.

The AALBC has and will continue to post many of the sights and sounds of the 360° event.  Check out the links on your left for the highlights compiled so far.

In particular, check out the 360° A revolution of Black Poets Anthology and The Fertile Ground Anthology.  These anthologies are some one of the most eclectic poetry anthologies in decades.  Order yours today, directly through the AALBC.  You WILL not be disappointed!
