Hello Everyone,

This is a one-time mailing to encourage past AALBC.com Discussion board registrants to re-visit our on-line discoussion forums. We have completely revamped the platform. I think you will find it more intuitive to use, and visually appealing than ever before. You may login with your Twitter or Facebook account, and share posts with your social networks.

Participate in the Conversation Now!

Our traditional discussion board format is the best suited for on-line conversation and discussion. Unlike a Blog no individual poster is superior. All contributors are equal in terms of their ability to post and the nature of their comments.

Unlike social media websites, our discussion board platform is optimized for group conversation. Conversations are not fleeting and can continue for months without any loss in continuity. Plus you’ll get more than 140 characters to express your point of view :-)

If you like to share your ideas and thoughts, AALBC.com is one of few places you can do this in a very structured way. However don’t expect everyone to agree with you. Your ideas will be challenged, supported, critiqued, and “liked”. You will irritate some and inspire others.

You may also share information about events on our events calendar. I use this calendar to find events to promote in our regular eNewsletter.

The discussion boards has always been one of my favorite parts of AALBC.com. It is where I learn about books, and learn about what our community is discussing. Our discussions boards include:

African-American Literature Discussion Forum - Thumper’s Corner

Thumper’s Corner is a very special and popular area of the African American Literature Book Club’s (AALBC.com) web site. Here you may exchange views with authors, avid readers and those who wish to learn more about literature and publishing. Thumper’s Corner was started by AALBC.com in 1997.

Culture, Race & Economy Discussion Forum - Cynique’s Corner

This board’s purpose is to facilitate the exchange of opinions, ideas, facts, and information as it relates to Black people in America, Africa, and the rest of the Diaspora. In 2011, this discussion forum was renamed "Cynique’s Corner" to honor a brilliant and prolific contributor to our conversations.

Poet’s Discussion Forum - The Poetree

You are encouraged to express your opinions, post poems, or any information related to poetry.

For a blast from the past check out our old “Legacy Discussion Boards”

Legacy Discussion Boards You can’t post there anymore but you find some interesting discussions going back almost a decade!

You ideas, opinions and feedback are welcome. Let your voice be heard today!

Again this is a one-time mailing to people who have previously registered to use the AALBC.com Discussion Boards. There is no need to unsubscribe. After this message, this mailing list will no longer be used.

If you are interested receiving updates from AALBC.com, please subscribe to our newsletter (assuming you have not already done so). Our newsletters are published every 6 weeks or so and includes links and summaries of recently published AALBC.com content. You receive information about authors you should know, book and film reviews, author and celebrity interviews, interesting articles, our popular best selling books list and so much more.
