And using my daughters, grand daughters, great granddaughters and their friends as a frame of reference, my take on the interaction between black males and black females is that, over time, there has been no big change in how they relate to each other. There is a black sisterhood. It has always been us against the world. We're bonded and when push comes to shove, we stick up for and support one another. We're "girlfriends". And when it comes to black men, there has, indeed, always been a little undercurrent of cynicism - but again, as has always been the case, sistas roll their eyes, shrug their shoulders, hope for the best and keep on truckin'. Then as now, white guys are not who black chicks aggressively seek out for mates. Whether with enthusiasm or resignation they stick with their own kind and give as good as they get. As for black dudes, they are still struggling to get ahead in the world, still in need of a supportive mate to prop them up and - still look upon white gurls as special, while never losing their appreciation for a foine sista. As Troy has noted, the vast majority of Blacks, continue to marry and date within their own race. In your tendency to dramatize and exaggerrate things, you portray people in a way that suits your purposes. And as a black man, you really have a bloated sense of entitlement. As for your theory about a behind-the-scenes plot to make black females lose interest in black males, puleeze. Just what is the motive for this attempt? What's the advantage and how does it benefit white movers and shakers?? Lastly, I find your reaction to the Cornell College gang rape case very predictable and amusing as you were revving up your motor, eager to concoct some kind of a racist scenario when ProfD intervened and neutralized you with facts! A man has every rights to waste, er, pour his time, energy & resources into convincing an uninterested woman to give him a shot. The Nation of Islam reaches a very small minority of Black men. The military teaches more men than any other gruup besides parents. Parents should have done that well before a male reached manhood. ProfD White males are being encouraged to consider trade jobs as alternative to college/university & white collar jobs. An electrician can easily make 6 figures & there's no shortage of work to be done. Well the plan is for THEM to be the ones tasked with fixing and maintaining AI robots and computers...lol. I see it at work already where they're hiring White men strictly for AI management. UBI would not be a salary. It would be just enough to take care of basic needs. The simplest explanation is usually the right one. Women dominate the Book industry. Women also dominate this website demographic women dominate book clubs.. including this website’s Book-club. One would think that women would dominate this discussion forum. I would have to do a little research, to substantiate what I’m about to say, but I don’t think women ever dominated these forms. There certainly was more of a balance in the past. I also don’t think women are so put off by a single poster that they would not participate. It was possible that a few women disagreeing with pioneer might get him to rethink his positions. Besides, it’s not like Pioneers remarks are never challenged or outright disputed. Anyone seriously considering posting would see that? Still, the lack of appeal to women is probably the answer, but I wouldn’t blame Pioneer for that solely. They’re probably are a variety of other factors that contribute to this not being a friendly peaceful woman. That said, just before I made this post I approved that Lisa doesn’t account that appeared to belong to women. I approve many accounts that belong to women they just aren’t used or they used once or twice to promote a Book without ever engaging over the long-term.

As a senior citizen and veteran poster here, I approach the originally posed question as a spectator because what that question concerned does not apply to me. When all is said and done, while bypassing the endless side bar exchanges, I have reached the conclusion that this forum is not especially "female friendly"! Furthernore, imo, the garrulous, ubiquitous Pioneer, the one who raised concern about the low female participation here, need look no further than himself to explain this. It would seem he doesn't really have his finger on the pulse of the sista girl audience; too busy pouting about what he considers their "straying from the fold". His most recent paranoid conspiracy theory that casts black women as guillible foils for the manipulation of white society, (a notion for which he has supplied no ulterior motive, ) not only underrates the intelligence of black women but overrates the importance of black men. His frequent scolding of sistas who enhance their personal appearance and the insipid reasons he gives for their doing so, plus his lecturing about what he arbitrarily decrees true blackness to be about, are "talk-to-the-hand" turn offs. His salacious tendency to regard black women as sex objects for the population of overrated black studs and the white men he thinks envy them, could further explain the lack of female interest here. And his incredibly chauvanistic remark about it being OK for black men to marry white women but that sistas should stick with brothers and not marry outside of the race, is certainly off putting! A case can be made be that females on the look out for an online home are not motivated or amused enough to put in an appearance here to either agree or disagree with Pioneer's controversial views. Indifference is a bitch! Unlke him, none of the other males seem to have a problem with the lack of women on board but there does seem to be a consensus among all of them to disparage the glamour and drama of the pop culture scene, a guilty pleasure sistas like to immerse themselves in, but a passtime these men ridicule, creating a condescending atmosphere. ProfD Universal Healthcare is a non-starter because there are enough working people in the USA to pay into big pharma. Most younger Americans (under 65) either have NO healthcare or SHITTY healthcare regardless as to whether they're working or not. I don't know if I'd go as far as to say MOST jobs don't really produce anything. Some jobs produce ABSTRACT or INTANGIBLE products. Entertainment, art, even education...for examples. They don't directly produce goods...but they impart knowledge and ideas that supposedly uplift society. Details emerge in case of former Cornell student alleging gang rape by fraternity members - CBS News As usual, I get the feeling that the mainstream media is PURPOSELY leaving out a lot of details in this story in order to force people to come to their own erroneous conclusions only to drop the "truth" on them later on. I'm curious as to what race is the victim or "alleged" victim? I'm curious as to what race or races were the men being accused? I'm getting "Duke University" vibes from this and how it's being set up and promoted. They hype it up and get the public all involved in it.....only to demonize the victim and make the suspects look like innocent victims of slander.
