Austin Creek wins South Arts Grant!
Troy replied to Kimberly S. Love's topic in The Black Excellence Showcase
Hi @Kimberly S. Love is this the correct ISBN 9798218669324? If so, I can’t find the book in BookScan, Ingram, or even Amazon. How did you discover our site? -

I forgot all about them. In fact, I would go to the least two or three times a month when I worked on Wall Street. -

In the sciences, I believe the Nobel prizes are mostly earned as you actually have to do something. Nobel peace prize they gave to Obama was clearly not earned. He killed more people with drone attacks than the Bush. Cheney administration did and that saying a lot! -
Black Men's Sexuality Has Been Renown Since Ancient Times
Troy replied to Pioneer1's topic in Culture, Race & Economy
@Pioneer1 so I gather you do not consider yourself a biblical scholar. I provided bullet points on how I arrived at my conclusion. Reading your original passages and researching them took all of five minutes. You could have done that, indeed you should’ve done that before you posted the passage. The only reason I took the time to research, the meaning of the passage was that it was provocative. I wasn’t aware that there was any language like that in the Bible so I was curious to learn what it meant I won’t bother doing it for you because I already know there is nothing that I can say that will get you to think differently about what you posted. From your perspective, the Bible has provided proof that Black people have the biggest dicks. - Today

Can we expect you to be chided by Pioneer for picking on a black man, implying Corey Booker is a closet gay guy? tsk-tsk. Or will he question Booker's blackness because of his pale skin tone? Wonder what size his penis is?

No, it doesn’t make you gay, but it does make you odd regardless of your sexuality, as the behavior is completely inappropriate in our culture wouldn’t you agree? If you were in a locker room and noticed a dude sitting across from you, staring at your penis, wouldn’t that strike you as weird and make you wonder what the dude’s problem was? As far as the rest of your responses, my faith in you has been restored that last part was funny too. This statement is problematic because you have not provided evidence or proof. Your anecdotes are not proof either. I don’t recall ever reading any report, article. or data set that you shared that has proven a point you were trying to make. The fact that you believe you’ve previously provided proof for a genetic basis for race. Often I describe the reasons why but you either ignore or reject them — rather than addressing my points the way Frankster did, you just go back to calling it proof. After years of you doing this, I just put you in the “incorrigible” bucket. You have never ever written anything close to “Hey, I never thought of it that way” or “upon further reflection I’ve changed my viewpoint” or “you know I was wrong.” I would bet this is true, even in real life. Am I wrong Pioneer? That might be true for some people, but not everyone. Some people are lifelong learners and are open to new ideas and willing to challenge their existing ones. In fact, it’s the main reason I’m here. I like reading what y’all have to say some of it I might agree, disagree, or ignore it. I don’t respond to Richard’s post because they are generally too long for me to get into I don’t get into chevdove’s religious stuff because I’m not religious. But there is room for everybody. What should be the point? If I express opinion that you disagree with and you explain why I will definitely consider it — especially if my opinion is based upon something that’s factually incorrect — I wanna be checked. But we live in the information age where facts are increasingly more difficult to discern. AI will make it far more difficult if not impossible.

The Bible also said Methuselah lived 9 hundred years. But others decided a biblical year was different from what we now consider a year. Imo, the Bible is not a source of proof for anything. Who knows what the whims of the drunk monks who translated it were. It contradicts itself in so many instances. And so much of it based on mythology. As I recall, Pioneer once declared that the bilblcal reference to Jesus having hair like like a lamb didn't mean he had nappy hair like black folks.

https://www.newsweek.com/alexis-lewis-cory-booker-wedding-engagement-11131741 Senator Cory Booker has traded his bachelor card for a wedding ring. Senator Booker married Alexis Lewis after a couple months of dating. Years ago, while running for democratic nominee for POTUS, Senator Booker was supposedly dating Rosario Dawson. Senator Booker dropped out of the race for POTUS and dumped Ms. Dawson shortly afterwards. He has not been linked to another woman. Fast-forward to this past weekend and all of a sudden, he's married now. Even in his wedding pics something isn't right about him. He's holding her hand like they're acting. I still believe this fella is ghey right along with Senator Lindsey 'Ms. Thing' Graham. I have zero proof or insider knowledge of how these cats roll. However, I would not be surprised if we find out they have lifetime memberships at the Blue Oyster.

As people get older, they become more rigid in their beliefs and positions. IMO, the objective should not be to convince people to change their way of thinking. Presenting evidence and proof merely reinforces or substantiates claims of the person making the case or argument. When done effectively, sometimes a person might change their mind after being presented with enough evidence and proof i.e. facts. Otherwise, there's a saying about old dogs and new tricks.

Universal healthcare won't happen in a country built on capitalism. Money controls politicians. Sure. Big pharma and medical industry lobbyists wrote the legislation. -

They should have went for Universal Healthcare. For basic needs atleast. We can still have health insurance if you want perks and extra benefits like a pimped-out hospital room or work compensation or certain designer drugs. But for basic care to keep people healthy, it should be absolutely free. At one point Obama had both Houses Democrat led and a more Liberal S-Court. If they were really sincere about it they could have done it. Obama Care was pretty much a give away to the insurance companies because now you're FORCED to get health insurance whether you want to or not. -

ProfD I hadn't even HEARD of Bojangles until I moved down South...lol. When I first saw one....I got offended! WTF???? ....but I stopped and went in anyway, lol. All it took was ONE of those biscuits with some jelly on it and it was OVER jack! -
All of the "evidence" and "proof" in the world won't convince somebody if their mind is made up and they are set on a particular point or belief. It's like trying to "impress" a racist or present absolute proof to change their mind. They may already know everything you're presenting to them, they don't want to see it because their position is set. The only thing YOU do by presenting more evidence and proof to them is anger them and make them push back harder.

Does looking at other men penises makes one.....homo or gay? It does not rise to the level of peer review gold standard scientific study....more like a basic data mining thing. In lieu of better studies....it can be used as a starting point. True Fair enough Ok one was by Nations.....even then one of the nations with the biggest average was or is a predominately black country it is not nonsense but you are right it is not rigorous science either I was very fixated on girls and their vaginas...which led to me being exposed to a lot of nudity. Ok...My relationship with this whole type argument is stemming from my senior high school days and early twenties - when I was a avid strip club aficionada prolific porn enthusiast and occassional attendee at intimate soirees and nude beaches

I was never a huge fan of Church's chicken back in the day. I preferred Bojangles. Roy Rogers was decent too. We had a place called Holly Farms that was better than all of them. Their potato wedges were the bomb. As Minnie Riperton sang...y'all done took me back down memory lane. -
This statement assumes that he DIDN'T review the data already. I only provided the LINK to my evidence, but his comment referred to it as a study which suggests he indeed DID review it, but.......

I'm writing that money cannot be ruled out especially when folks want to *win* badly enough. For example, honorary degrees are given to people who donate enough money to colleges and universities. Otherwise, I'd like to believe folks are *earning* the accolades, awards, titles, etc., bestowed upon them. -

It's about time we agreed on SOMETHING...lol. "Gimme five...." If you wanted to treat ME back in the 70s, 80s, or 90s....just take me to a Church's Chicken and buy me some of that greasy ass chicken, a couple corn on the cobs, and a back of their, jalapeno peppers. I'll shovel snow, cut grass, rake leaves, beat somebody up....lol....whatever you needed....lol. -
Well @frankster is intellectually honest. Let's give him a chance to review my comments, the data you shared and reply. It is interesting that you shared this quote. You might consider applying it to your assessment of @aka Contrarian.

@ProfD are you saying that Jews influence that awarding of Nobel Prizes with money? In the sciences that seems unlikely. -

Sorry I was unclear; my plan increased by 500% but I was able to find another plan on healthcare.gov that was the same price as my original plan, so my health care costs did not go up. -

Yeah that is probably why Jewish people punch over their weight when it comes to winning Noble Prizes and we dominate in basketball.
