#BlackHistory337 is about the time between Black History Months, when many people including some Black people don't make an effort to emphasize Black History. A way to cover the rest of the year, the remaining 337 days between each 28.
For this edition of Black337 we will speak of Black detectives. Remember to view my literature of a Black Detective, linked below in MONTHLY CONTENT. Do you have a Black Detective you enjoy? Please share a Black detective written in the great annals of Deviantart.
VERY SHORT LIST OF BLACK DETECTIVES WRITTEN BY BLACK WRITERS IN LITERARY FICTION
Shaft [ played by Richard Roundtree in "Shaft" ] was written by Ernest Tidyman
Parker based on the McClain character [ played by Jim Brown in "The Split" ] was written by Donald Westlake
Alex Cross [portrayed by Morgan Freeman in "ALong Came A Spider"] is written by James Patterson
The interesting thing about Black Detectives written by Blacks as opposed to Black Detectives written by whites is their tone. Black Detectives written by Blacks tend to have a larger level of pessimism to the environment, I think that reflects Black Authors , as Black people, larger pessimism or disbelief or negative views to the USA itself; as opposed to Whites in the USA who are historically more hopeful opportune advantaged in the USA.
