  1. Birth defects, cancer and other illnesses, diseases and conditions have been around for thousands of years. Long before science progressed. Modern medicine has made health-care more manageable. The powerful and greedy folks figured out a long time ago there is no money in a cure. Research, maintenance (medication), hospitalization and funerals, etc., are the money-makers when it comes to diseases, conditions and illnesses. 😎
  2. ProfD Free will is the phrase people use to let the Supreme Being off the hook when it comes to allowing evil. One of many things that don't square with agnostics and atheists Well Prof..... You're too smart and streetwise for me to carry you down some rabbit hole or come up with reasons and justifications for why there is so much evil in the world. However keep in mind that just because it doesn't square with you or your understanding: - This doesn't mean that it's not logical and doesn't make sense. It simply means that YOU (or others) don't understand it. It may not make sense to YOU. And it stops right there...lol. -Evil in the world doesn't equate to there NOT being a SUPREME BEING Who is in total control of Everything any more than a child not getting a present for their birthday equates to them not having parents at all. One doesn't necessarily mean the other. It may give some outside of the family that impression....but that's all it would be...an impression. FACTS ARE FACTS....speculation is speculation
  3. Who said they were "created" that way. It's my understanding that humans pretty much have free will when it comes to true morality. It's one thing to kill someone out of anger who assaulted your wife while you two were walking down the street. It's another thing to make plans to and kill hundreds of people for sport.
  4. There's an old saying that some people don't appreciate heaven unless they've been through hell.

Thanks for the belated birthday greetings!😁 I can't get over it ! There's a big ICE brouhaha going on in the town where I live, - demonstrations, cops, and arrests. helicopters overhead, TV camera trucks and reporters everywhere, and the only way I know about this is because I'm watching it on the local TV newscasts. I reside in this town but all these goings-on are not around my block! Where i now live is not my home town birth place, and was once a vast prairie land until about 50 years ago when all the vegetation was cleared away for housing development and a new sub division sprung up overnight.. Quite Quaint. Rows of similarly built ranch style houses separated by driveways. Lots of trees and shrubbery on neat lawns. I've been living here with one of my daughters since 2011 and I' ve always found it a rather strange place sorta isolated yet bustling. Tornadoes bypass it, rain storms and flooding often go around it. It's not unusual for the moon and the sun to be in the sky at the same time. My neighbors are a mix of Whites, Hispanics, Indians, and Blacks and we all pretty much keep to ourselves. There are no children on this block, only a lot of dogs who get regularly walked by their owners. Somebody joked that this area was once a native American burial ground. The latest thing to spark casual conversation among neighborhood residents is what looks like a huge beehive lodged in the tree in front of my house, even though there are NO bees flying anywhere around... Nobody can figure out what it is and where it suddenly came from. Everybody just casts leery glances at it, careful not to disturb it. I, of course, I think aliens put it there to monitor us. That would explain all the strange things always happening in my atmosphere.
  6. @TroyOK. I forgot that things changed when FaceBook became META - and Zuckerburg dispensed with fact checkers after the last election. And, presumably "Facebook Jail" no longer exists My post was mostly in response to your saying you doubted if the average person would say bad things using their real name. Right now FaceBook posters in great numbers are saying bad things about Charlie Kirk - and each other and they are not doing it anonymously. The same goes for a lot of well known people. Kirk's death has sparked a great outcry btw, i'm not responsible for what I post here after midnight 😝
