Pioneer1
Listening to the last few minutes of Phil's message gave me a rush! It felt good to hear that dose of truth....almost like it was a drug!
ProfD
Yep. Phil talking straight facts about what's happening with that migrant situation and who will benefit. AfroAmericans waiting too much time waiting on White folks to treat them right: Here we are 30 years later. Very little has changed when it comes to building a solid, self-sufficient AfroAmerican economic infrastructure.
Pioneer1
ProfD Man, you went BACK for that one....lol. Before I even clicked on it I heard the song playing in my mind. I liked Chubb, even more so than Biggie to be honest with you. Seems he had more of a positive message and his flow was clearer and cleaner. ....but he didn't have a Puff Daddy behind him hyping him up. Say what you want but back in the day, Puffy could hype anybody and make them a star overnight.

Different MCs. Chubb was on a literate and party vibe. He came along before rappers got heavy into spinning street tales. Biggie was masterful lyricist and storyteller. He made a few party records but most of his were street stories. 44 minutes ago, Pioneer1 said: ....but he didn't have a Puff Daddy behind him hyping him up. Puffy probably enjoyed being a hype man as much as a record mogul.
Pioneer1
ProfD Interesting that both of them....along with Heavy D....come from a Jamaican background. Chubb and Heavy were definitely more COHERENT than Biggie...lol. Puffy probably enjoyed being a hype man as much as a record mogul. He had (and still has) an eye for talent.
