The Obamas and the 2024 DNC in Chicago: Deceptive Stagecraft at its Very Finest

Barack and Michelle Obama endorse Kamala Harris during Democratic National Convention

The DNC is a political pep rally. It's a well produced show to celebrate members and entertain the base and try to pull in independent and undecided voters.😎

This show did not interest me in the least.  I could not avoid hearing the coverage -- that was more than enough for me.

You definitely have not missed anything.  The coverage is enough.  A cascade of speeches and musical entertainment. 😎

Watching the Democratic convention on live TV presents no problem for a cynic like me. I make no apologies about my  interest in watching history being made.  I'm curious!

And I'm certainly liking all the examples of woman power showing up during these proceedings.

I can hardly wait to see what will predictably be nels' scathing review of Kamala's acceptance speech. He probably has it already written,!

 🤣 😜

While I did not watch the DNC live, I did listen to Kamala’s speech 90% of it anyway.

The media keeps going on and on about how Democrats are all energized now. As if anybody who was gonna vote for Trump will change their mind now.

Can anyone explain to me why they think Kamala has a better chance at beating Trump than Hillary Clinton did — as she’s white!  Was it the email server, pizzagate, her husband.

That said the main thing hurting Trump was his actual presidency and January 6. Hillary did not have that advantage, so I think Kamala will win.

I had no interest in it what so ever.

I didn't listen to or watch the DNC just like I didn't watch the RNC.

As far as I'm concerned neither one is relevant for our future Success as AfroAmericans.

I did briefly check out the show to see my girl Michelle Obama, bangin' body as usual....lol.

Shame on you checking out another man's wife through your TV screen.🤣😎

Be glad there's a TV SCREEN in the way.....lol.

On a similar but different note.....

I no longer think it's a sin to lust after another man's wife.

To actually HAVE SEX with another man's wife.....perhaps...depending on the type of marriage they have; but to simply lust after her...no.

Being non-religious, I look at what is considered "right" and "wrong" and "neutral" totally different than when I was a Bible believer.

That means you're willing to suffer the consequences of your actions or inactions too.

Some dudes believe their woman is personal property. They will do whatever it takes in defense.

Considering there's no shortage of women available, I really don't see the point in lusting after a woman who's tied up with someone else already.

Seems akin to waiting on a particular urinal instead of using a functional one that's already available. No real or potential issues.😎

😎

What would be the negative consequences of simply LUSTING after her....being that it's only in one's mind?

We're not talking about where it could LEAD TO.
Hell, lusting after MONEY could lead you to robbing a bank if you want to go down that route...lol.
But if it's JUST LUST...then it's only a mental action.

There's no consequence as long as that lust stays in your dome piece.😁

But, if someone sees your lust bubble pop up over your head or your eyes start bucking and/or lip licking at the sight of another man's woman...you might have to get those dukes up if time permits.🤣😎

As far as I know, that is still a sin.  Indeed, lust of one of the "7 deadly sins."

It's a sin only to Bible believing Christians.
Along with hundreds of other behaviors and neglections.

But if you're NOT a believer in that book, then it's not.

Why not?  Again people make up their own rules.  Also, I was not aware that the "7 deadly sins" were in the bible.

I don't know about the "7 deadly sins", but according to the Bible LUST is condemned.
However, as stated earlier...I don't believe in this.

Many people who practice the "7 deadly sins" are still living while people who abstained from them have died.

Also, there are many lustful and horny people who enjoy good health, plenty of sex, plenty of money, well up into old age.
What evidence is there that GOD is displeased with them?

It all makes sense when you realize that most of this DID NOT come from The Divine but from the thinking and hands of other human beings.

Everyone dies, but the people who practiced the seven deadly sins spend eternity in hell and those that abstain sit at the feet of their Lord in heaven, right?

That's definitely the program being sold and what folks are supposed to believe.🤣😎
