I have a taste for a hamburger, but I need a tomato, so now I have to get in my car drive to a supermarket to buy a single tomato - a waste of time and gas. So, I'll skip the tomato tonight -- the burger will still be great 🙂 In NYC I would just run downstairs and get one for the corner store (bodega). Now, assuming that had any, it would be double the price the supermarket charged and in questionable condition, but it would have saved me a trip to the supermarket and I'd probably have my burger a tomato tonight if I were in NYC.
