I listen to an excerpt from his book. His base is sound. However you can get the paperback for much less. Listen to a couple of excerpts. Phillip Cooper is balanced and knowledgeable. I like his approach. A lot of books on Magick are terrible and some are dangerous.

Magik is mind boggling. Literally. I think I may have tinkered with it, not realizing what I was doing, many years ago and that this might have had something to do with the longevity which has become a burden to me.

@umbrarchistHave you ever considered that sky scrapers could be latterday pyramids that aliens enabled the buildimg of and that this is why the twin towers did not conform with the earthly rules of physics?

@Delano it was for a customer. I’m not deep enough to be reading that kind of stuff 🙂

I’ll refer him to the book you suggested.

Even thrift books is charging $558.

"The Secret" was a best selling book that came out around 2006  and was highly recommended by Oprah. It was about practical magic and dealt mostly with the laws of attraction, positive thinking and energizing mental images. I didn't find anything especially new between its pages.

I also experimented with mantras and chants back then. Tina Turna is said to have chanted her way to a highly successful career via a Buddhist mantra!

Another popular book of this genre was "Seth Speaks" written by a women who claimed a spirit named "Seth" would  take over her body after she knocked off a quart of beer. She/he recommended imagining an outcome to your dilemmas and then relegating the negative endings to a parallel universe where  they could be  dissipated...

I've just kinda created my little personal rituals created through trial and error and....  i've had some success.

The secret and the Celestine prophecy didn't grab. Intend to avoid Esoteric books that don't have a bibliography. O was fortunate to meet two older Black men who turned me on to deeper Esoteric books.

Hey @Delano  Have you heard of this book: The Magickian: A Study in Effective Magick by Phillip Cooper someone was trying to sell a used copy for $500 on am*zon.

The Magickian: A Study in Effective Magick by Phillip Cooper

It makes me wonder how "effective" the methods of the book were if someone had to go on am@zon to "try" to sell it.
....or maybe they didn't read or follow the instructions IN the book.

I wonder have they sold it yet.

It sounds like you have already made up your mind. In which case you don't need me to co-sign your rhetoric.

Based on what I've read from you so far, you don't know enough about the book YOURSELF to confirm or deny the validity of it's contents.
So any challenging of my words by you would be unwarranted and any co-signing of my words by you would be mere flattery....unwelcomed, btw....lol.
