ProfD Posted Monday at 11:34 PM Report Posted Monday at 11:34 PM https://www.reuters.com/business/healthcare-pharmaceuticals/trump-expected-link-autism-with-tylenol-experts-say-more-research-needed-2025-09-22/ Nevermind that acetaminophen commonly known as Tylenol has been around for over 100 years. While there is no scientific proof, the current administration under POTUS OJ claims that pregnant women taking Tylenol could lead to autism in their unborn children. In making his announcement, POTUS OJ needed help pronouncing acetaminophen. Leader of the free world can't read. Go figure. This is consistent with the Secretary of Health & Human Services attack on vaccines and anything else his kooky science rejects. Amazingly, there's no shortage of supposedly knowledgeable medical professionals who will jump on TV and back the ridiculous. Money is a powerful motivator. Some people are willing to sell themselves for even less. In the meantime, Americans can look forward to the following: 1) less food dyes 2 return to sugar cane over high fructose corn syrup 3) non-mandatory vaccinations for schoolchildren 4) updated warning labels on Tylenol Only 9 months into the 2nd term of POTUS OJ. Hang on to hats and seats on this rollercoaster.
aka Contrarian Posted Tuesday at 07:38 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 07:38 PM As some one who grew up, hovering under the specter of such diseases as Diphtheria, Typhoid Fever, Whooping Cough and Small Pox, I have a great appreciation for the vaccines that prevented me from catching these dreaded diseases. And a scar on my upper left arm as a reminder of my small pox vaccination. Back then, they didn't have shots for chicken pox or mumps or the measles, which was attributed to my needing to wear glasses at the age of 12, but by the time I had kids they did and, thankfully, a vaccine for polio as well. And for this I was grateful. When I contracted covid pneumonia a few years ago, my complete recovery was attributed to my having previously received 2 covid shots. So, needless to say, I'm not in sync with RFK when it comes to vaccines. But, like him, I do have some unorthodox views, and I submit that autism has always been around; there just wasn't a name for it. There've always been people referred to as being ,"slow" or "retarded" or just plain "off", folks who weren't crazy or stupid but just didn't conform to what was considered "normal". My mother said of her younger sister, who she named me after, that she was neither dumb nor crazy but just seemed to exist in her own world. Today, anybody fitting this description is placed on the autistic spectrum. Some folks are even voluntarily diagnosing themselves as sufferring from some degree of autism. Like sexual orientation, - it's complicated. I'm wondeting if RFK did a survey asking mothers of autistic children whether they popped Tylenol pills during their pregnancy? If he didn't, then he should go somewhere and sit down. Plus, there has to be a significant number of women who did take Tylenol and didn't have an autistic child. Trump is really desperate for his Administration to be recognized for doing something spectacularly noteworthy. Wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't campaign for RFK to be nominated for a Nobel Prize in medicine. It's a crazy world

Every member of the current administration and their supporters benefitted from being vaccinated too. Those people are selfish and ignorant. 20 minutes ago, aka Contrarian said: ...I submit that autism has always been around; there just wasn't a name for it. I don't believe limited or different development has anything to do with acetaminophen. I'm curious to see how many doctors will line up to champion this BS. 20 minutes ago, aka Contrarian said: Trump is really desperate for his Administration to be recognized for doing something spectacularly noteworthy. If so, I would hope that he allows AI to give his acceptance speech. 1
Pioneer1 Posted Tuesday at 10:18 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 10:18 PM I'm not sure what cause Autism but clearly SOMETHING is causing it. Diseases doesn't just pop up out of "thin air" either....lol. I'm sure a group of people know BOTH the cause of it and the cure or atleast it's prevention. I got into a heated debate with a sista not too long ago who JUMPED into a conversation I was having with another sista and insisted that autism came from "old fathers" making babies past their prime.

Birth defects, cancer and other illnesses, diseases and conditions have been around for thousands of years. Long before science progressed. Modern medicine has made health-care more manageable. The powerful and greedy folks figured out a long time ago there is no money in a cure. Research, maintenance (medication), hospitalization and funerals, etc., are the money-makers when it comes to diseases, conditions and illnesses. 1
umbrarchist Posted yesterday at 01:31 AM Report Posted yesterday at 01:31 AM The Trump administration runs on thin air and Tylenol. .

Preach. I literally just wrote that we should listen to older people. 6 hours ago, Pioneer1 said: Diseases doesn't just pop up out of "thin air" either....lol. Sure they do. many diseases are created from mutations. Some of those mutations are inherited others happen after you’ve been alive for a while

Troy Sure they do. many diseases are created from mutations. Some of those mutations are inherited others happen after you’ve been alive for a while That's not "thin air". That's an actual cause. So the cure would be to focus on the mutations and how to reverse them. Are you telling me that in 2025 where they can send rovers to Mars and shit....finding actual CURES for Cancers and Diabetes is too much to ask for? Maybe if they spend more time and money focusing on THAT instead of advancing weaponry and spinning out the latest social media apps and cell phones....these diseases would have BEEN eradicated. People have children with autism, but instead of taking their cause to D.C. and putting pressure on the government to come up with an actual cure.....some of them could care less and are more concerned about getting the latest iPhone.

But, they have been spending plenty money on research and development though. There's a cancer research center in d8mn near every state and major university in America. No shortage of money has been spent to study cancer. They come up with new treatments and drugs. Still, tens of thousands of people die from cancer every year consistently. There is no money in cures. Maintenance is the business.
aka Contrarian Posted 8 hours ago Report Posted 8 hours ago ...I'm inclined to agree with Mel when it comes to the subject of cancer. She said something to the effect that cancer is our DNA - our body turning on itself;almost a natural process. There may never be a cure for it; only treatment. Mental illness comes with the territory of having a brain and has also always plagued Mankind. It really boils down to simply being a deviation from the "norm", a guideline that is nothing more than the way a majority of the population behaves. Just like homo sexuality, which has always been around, even among animals. We make life complicated by looking for things to blame on the ubiquitous "they" of conspiracy theory origins - which have also always been around creating suspicions among the long suffering masses. What would black folks do if they didn't have their melanin free cousins to blame for their shortcomings??? Time to go look at the "beehive". There are some tree cutters inspecting a huge dead tree across the street which also poses a hazard. Maybe they've been sent by the Aliens and perhaps - I can hitch a ride on their UFO and blow this pop stand.
