ProfD Posted Wednesday at 02:29 AM Report Posted Wednesday at 02:29 AM https://www.newsweek.com/alexis-lewis-cory-booker-wedding-engagement-11131741 Senator Cory Booker has traded his bachelor card for a wedding ring. Senator Booker married Alexis Lewis after a couple months of dating. Years ago, while running for democratic nominee for POTUS, Senator Booker was supposedly dating Rosario Dawson. Senator Booker dropped out of the race for POTUS and dumped Ms. Dawson shortly afterwards. He has not been linked to another woman. Fast-forward to this past weekend and all of a sudden, he's married now. Even in his wedding pics something isn't right about him. He's holding her hand like they're acting. I still believe this fella is ghey right along with Senator Lindsey 'Ms. Thing' Graham. I have zero proof or insider knowledge of how these cats roll. However, I would not be surprised if we find out they have lifetime memberships at the Blue Oyster. 1
aka Contrarian Posted Wednesday at 04:53 AM Report Posted Wednesday at 04:53 AM Can we expect you to be chided by Pioneer for picking on a black man, implying Corey Booker is a closet gay guy? tsk-tsk. Or will he question Booker's blackness because of his pale skin tone? Wonder what size his penis is? 2

Probably not because Senator Booker has been mentioned in another thread. @Pioneer1 gave the senator benefit of doubt and believe he could be as*xual. Well, the stunt he pulled this past weekend could nullify that claim. However, since I believe the marriage is a front, the jury is still out. Not that it makes a difference one way or another. Higher political aspirations seem to require a different look. The last bachelor POTUS was James Buchanan. There were questions about him too.
Troy Posted Thursday at 07:27 PM Report Posted Thursday at 07:27 PM Trump, Clinton, and JFK were bachelor too, even though they were married. 1

Pioneer1 Posted Thursday at 11:08 PM Report Posted Thursday at 11:08 PM They said his wife was Jewish too. So that's interesting. I don't know about him being gay, but I definitely don't think he WANTS to be married. I think this is just cosplaying. He's trying to portray himself as a "family man" the others can relate to, or atleast a man who kicks it with the ladies. He's making this move for a future Presidency bid.
aka Contrarian Posted yesterday at 01:27 AM Report Posted yesterday at 01:27 AM Booker's wife is bi-racial. Her father is black. Did it ever occur to you crabs-in- the-barrel that maybe Cory finally found his soul mate? Now that Obama is out of office, you've found another brotha to drag down, - when you aren't promoting conspiracy theories about white folks trying to feminize black men. The same with house minority leader Hakeem Jeffries. Constant bad mouthing. Who does command your support? Do you really think any choice you favor will do any better? No black man will ever turn America around.

He's 56. She's 38. 18 year difference isn't a soulmate. Playmate at best. BFF in his case. 19 minutes ago, aka Contrarian said: The same with house minority leader Hakeem Jeffries. I would support the Black man as an elected official who actually puts forth an effort through policy and legislation to create pathways to generational wealth for Black folks. If the Black man as an elected official isn't putting forth an effort through policies and legislation to fuel Black success and help to dismantle the system of racism white supremacy, he's just another grifter. 1

aka Contrarian Posted yesterday at 02:11 AM Report Posted yesterday at 02:11 AM Where is it written that a 38 year old woman and a 56 year old man can't be soul mates??? How do you know those you criticize aren't doing the best they can against a system that is stacked against them. Who can they look to as role models?

That's not how the universe works. Anything is possible. Like winning the lotto. Chances 1 in 427 million. In this fellas case...I seriously doubt she's his soulmate. Most likely...she's a beard. 1 hour ago, aka Contrarian said: How do you know those you criticize aren't doing the best they can against a system that is stacked against them. Who are their role models. We can easily read the legislation they introduce in their positions. More importantly, listen to them and the issues they choose to champion. Black history provides role models. Black struggles providea a compass. Maybe modern Black leadership is so far removed from the struggle and/or so comfortable under the system of racism white supremacy that there's no incentive to do anything more than grift.
aka Contrarian Posted yesterday at 03:02 AM Report Posted yesterday at 03:02 AM I totally disagree with your cynical opinion on soul mates. Souls are timeless. Kindred ones can take a while to find each other. Who are these historical black politicians of whom you speak who have accomplished so much for their people? Politics is the "art of the possible". Not the fulfiller of dreams.

He'd better hope she doesn't have a father or some other protective male-figure in her life. Then, there's law enforcement. 17 minutes ago, aka Contrarian said: Who are these historical black politicians of whom you speak who have accomplished so much for their people? Politics is the "art of the possible". Not the fulfiller of dreams. Not just politicians. There's no shortage of Black men in our history who have done great things in terms of our progress. Again, maybe AfroAmericans are so far removed from our history and having been rudderless for 50 years and counting...it makes sense that our people are *here* now. Every man and woman out for self. That's why Senator Booker got *married*. As @Pioneer1 mentioned, he's prepping himself for another POTUS run. i believe Governor Gavin Newsom has the democratic nomination on lock. They have to create a field of dreamers to make it look good.
aka Contrarian Posted yesterday at 07:54 AM Report Posted yesterday at 07:54 AM @ProfDAge ain't nothing but a number when it comes to true soul mates. Furthermore, its not like Cory's wife is a spring chicken at age 38, nor like he's a senior citizen, ready to retire. I'm sure they are on the same page when it comes to many things. and if his running for president is one of these things, then...more power to them! I'm surprised that 2 "female aficionados" like you and pioneer seem so intimidated about the age difference between Cory and Alexis. (No wonder Pioneer gravitates toward 80 year old women; guess that's all he can handle.) BTW, historians give Obama's presidency high marks. And we don't know what Jeffries is doing behind the scenes. He may be layin back in the cut, power brokering.

That is true as long as it's not against the law. Still, soulmate usually isn't the reason people with a decade or more age difference between connect with each other. It's normally a physical and/or financial incentive. 8 hours ago, aka Contrarian said: Furthermore, its not like Cory's wife is a spring chicken at age 38, nor like he's a senior citizen, ready to retire. Sure. After 2 months of dating, they have made a business decision. Remains to be seen how it works out. More importantly, let's see if this union 1) bears additional fruit and 2) lasts for many years beyond his political aspirations. 8 hours ago, aka Contrarian said: I'm surprised that 2 "female aficionados" like you and pioneer seem so intimidated about the age difference between Cory and Alexis. No intimidation here. More power to them regardless of their arrangement. 8 hours ago, aka Contrarian said: BTW, historians give Obama's presidency high marks. Surely. POTUS Obama successfully carried out the duties of the highest executive office in the USA. He did not *break* anything white folks built. 8 hours ago, aka Contrarian said: And we don't know what Jeffries is doing behind the scenes. He may be layin back in the cut, power brokering. Ask Rep. Hakeem Jeffries if he's power brokering any legislation to bring reparations to AfroAmericans. Wait for his answer. Don't interrupt. 1
aka Contrarian Posted 6 hours ago Report Posted 6 hours ago @ProfD'Guess we have to agree to disagree. Nothing monumental about that. I do, however, admit to not only being surprised that you would so vigorously question Cory Booker's sexuality based on nothing but your suspicions, but that you are so revolted by the idea of him actually being gay, as if this is a crime. You are usually more rational in your emotions. And more tolerant. The same goes for your fixation on reparations as it relates to your scorn toward Hakeem Jeffries for not expending enough energy in the pursuit of what is virtually an impossible dream and an issue his constituency is not losing any sleep over. You are usually more pragmatic in your expectations. (I could see you chuckling and dismissing a demand from, say, white descendants of Union soldiers killed during the war against slavery, demanding reparations. ) Yes, I know. white skin entitlement is their reward. Too bad black skinned vigilantes would meet with a cruel fate. Anyway, who cares what I think? I don't even care myself. Some times I don't even thlink. I just breathe. zzzzzzzzz
Pioneer1 Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago ProfD In this fellas case...I seriously doubt she's his soulmate. Most likely...she's a beard. Exactly. I don't think he's into the ladies anyway. You could look at how he was holding his hands while kissing Rosario Dawson to know SOMETHING ain't "jiving" right....lol From this angle..... Looks like his eyes and lips were shut so tight like he was trying to TOLERATE kissing the woman....lol. I'm not suggesting they cannot have fun together i.e. shopping, getting their nails done, girls night out, etc. ...especially when fellow senator Lindsay Graham is invited to come along. Dolemita aka Contrarian I'm surprised that 2 "female aficionados" like you and pioneer seem so intimidated about the age difference between Cory and Alexis. Talk about "making up scenarios" in your own head....lol. Nothing ProfD nor myself has said would give anyone who thinks rationally any remote idea of us being "intimidated" by their age gap. There's a difference between NOTING something and being INTIMIDATED by it. I may NOTE that a woman is wearing a tight miniskirt at her husband's funeral because it looks a bit out of place, but that doesn't mean I'm INTIMIDATED by it. Anyway, who cares what I think? Your psychiatrist. It may determine whether or not he needs to change your medication. Some times I don't even thlink Well that's obvious. You have to THINK in order to proof read, lol.
