ICE protesters showed up in a MN church. Unfortunately, the coverage focused on the handful of Black folks who were among them.

FBA/AfroAmericans have been relatively silent on conflicts abroad and domestic issues of little to no concern for us.

IMO, FBA/AfroAmericans are better served minding our own business in dealing with the issues of racism white supremacy that hurt, harm and affect us.

The late Dick Gregory provided prophetic advice as it relates to how FBA/AfroAmericans should respond to these issues. Stay out of it.😎

They are trying to show as many Black people as they can in these protests.
They are trying their BEST to try to just PUT niggaz in the middle of it.....lol.

I think Black folks have done a good job on social media trying to stay on the message of "stay out".

A lot of the Latinos in the area are giving Black folks the side eye too!

They are trying so many tricks and provocations and are angry as hell that none of it is working.

Now don't be under any illusion............Black Americans WILL get involved.
We're really what it's all about to begin with.
But we'll get involved on OUR terms.

Don Lemon showed up as a journalist and now they are trying to make his Black azz the face of it and have DOJ put charges on him. 🤣

Of course, Don is so off code, he has no idea he's supposed to stay out of that situation.😎

Just when I start feeling a little empathy.....just a little bit.....for the immigrants being chased down by ICE...guess what happens?
I go outside.

I go to a grocery store that used to be owned by White folks and Latinos took it over a couple years ago and I barely get any service from there.
The people who work there are so openly racists it's almost a joke.
You can be standing at a counter waiting on service and they'll serve a Latino BEHIND first....lol.

Just another reminder of why Black Americans should stay out of the way and let what happens....happen.

Bummer that you have to patronize that establishment at all.

Unfortunate reminder that Latinos just like other non-FBA/AfroAmericans have never really been down with us.

No shade to any non-FBA/AfroAmericans lurking around here.  Personally, I chop it all with all types of people.

I'm not in a FBA/AfroAmerican bubble or silo.  But, I do keep a bean with my folks outside the tribe.

I have zero problems letting non-FBA/AfroAmericans know where I stand as it relates to our differences and calling out BS.

Due to the way I communicate in the real world...they get it.🤣😎

Exhibit A for why Black folks need to stay out this issue.

Two Black women supposedly Black Lives Matter and one white man (DaWokeFarmer)  were arrested by DOJ for organizing the MN church protest.

Let the illegal immigrantams and undocument workers fight their own battles. Same goes for the infighting among white folks.😎

@ProfD and @Pioneer1 I guess you Brothers don't buy into the notion:

First, they came for the immigrants, and I did not speak out… Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

As you know, most people sit on the sidelines and do nothing when another group -- or even their own group -- is being harmed. I don't think it is a good idea to tell others that they should stop supporting oppressed groups simply because they don't share the same ethnicity.

We already know historically, other groups of people didn't speak up for and/or support FBA/AfroAmericans in our struggles past to present.

Surely, FBA/AfroAmericans can provide a healthy dose of moral support from the sidelines in silence.

Otherwise, there's no need in FBA/AfroAmericans putting on capes for people who don't give a f8ck about us.😎

(1) This is untrue most abolitionists were not Black. Many of the civil rights, some of whom lost there lives, activist were not Black.
(2) Even if that was true that is no reason not to support other oppressed groups

I'm not a fan of giving a characteristic to an entire group of people.  For example, can you name on group of people, where every person in that group don't give a f8ck about us?

Sure. There were a few non-Black riders. I don't recall any Brown, Red or Yellow though.

To each their own.

It's not about everyone in the group not giving a f8ck about us. The majority is enough.😎

Well first of all, THEY aren't in a position to speak for us anyway.
They can't even help themselves against racist targeting by law enforcement, so what can they do for AfroAmericans?

As ProfD already pointed out, most of those people did nothing to help us.

They sho' nuff benefited from OUR fights.
We ended legal discrimination in this nation....and they took advantage of it.
We ended racist discriminatory immigration policies in this nation....and they took advantage of that too.

And as soon as they go here they started linking up with White Americans and being discriminatory against AfroAmericans themselves.
Not all, but most.

Most immigrants in this nation SHOULD be deported.
They aren't helping AfroAmericans, they are a hinderance.

Infact......

With all of this talk about AfroAmericans standing to the side and not getting involved, I wonder if AfroAmericans were the targets of racist federal forces would they not only NOT help us but actually sign up to help the feds!
We know that many Latinos and Asians want to take our place in America.

Perhaps they'd be cheering it on.

Today, another ICE protester shot & killed in MN. Killed by a border patrol agent. 😎

It's going to be even harder to justify this one.
They claim he had a weapon but based on the video that I saw there was a half dozen officers swarmed around whooping the hell out of him.
Even if he were armed, that many officers at close range should have been able to disarm him fairly easily.

Yep. I heard they took his weapon & shot him 9 times afterwards because the border patrol agent feared for his life.

White folks from Minnesota to Ukraine are just showing how easily they are willing to kill anybody.😎

Y'all can't know what the majority think why they don't actively support us.  Do you think the majority of Black people actively participated in the civil right movement?  Even the majority of other group were actively against us why throw the minority who support us under the bus?

You base this opinion on what?  Does this opinion extend to our Brothers and Sisters from African and the Diaspora?

I did not hear about the latest ICE murder in MN.  Was the victim yet another white person who scarified their life fighting for the rights of Immigrants?

Simple economics and urban planning.
The economy and the infrastructure of the United States isn't big enough to provide QUALITY - food, clothing, shelter, healthcare, and employment - to enough of it's residents when you have tens of millions of people here both legally and illegally siphoning money out of the economy and sending it back to their native countries.

No.
I welcome them for 2 main reasons:

1. Not just because they're Black but in my opinion immigration should be DEMOGRAPHICALLY BALANCED so as not to allow too many people of one race or ethnicity in.
The AfroAmerican population in many major cities has declined while the Latino population has risen dramatically due to unfair immigration practices.

2. Africans only make up a relatively small portion of the immigrant population although their numbers are growing.
Latinos and Asians still make up the biggest chunk; although I must say that it seems as if the African/Caribbean immigration RATE is growing FASTER than even the Latino rate.

Inaction speaks volumes.

Absolutely not. That's why our progress moves slowly.

It's not about throwing anyone under the bus.

Malcolm X had warned Black folks to be wary of white folks wanting to be involved in our struggle. Especially when they created the system & conditions.😎
