Troy Posted December 9, 2022 Report Posted December 9, 2022 Speaking of Octavia Butler check out this free (no paywall) article in the New York Times: https://nyti.ms/3AZxzL3 This is one of the most visually compelling articles I have ever read online. But if I were to be able to write as she has done so successfully, I would want to be alive to be able to spend the money generated from the success. Man! This reminds me of what Monique said about Black women being elevated and acknowledged after they are dead. 1
Troy Posted December 11, 2022 Author Report Posted December 11, 2022 Yes, I’m sure Octavia would have loved to see her work on TV. I always thought Kindred would make a good film. I’m looking forward to seeing the series. 1
