Black politicians do not have the power nor responsibility to fix the self-inflicted ills of AfroAmericans.

Politicians can introduce policy and legislation to help those in need and make laws.

Otherwise, cleaning up greed, corruption and violence among any group of people is a social problem.  😎

Black politicians are certainly limited in their power, but they can surely do far more than what they ARE doing.

The first step....which is obviously easier said than done....is losing their fear of death and poverty.

If only we could find a Black politicians holding office already with balls the size of Krazy Kanye Kardashian....lol.

Systemic Racism has Structure.

These Structures are maintained because they make money.

This stream of money is protected by those who profit from Racism

As Dr. Umar Johnson brilliantly articulated in the video you posted in the other thread, as long as Black politicians are funded by one of the political parties...they have to tow the line and fulfill the party agenda.

As soon as a Black politician tries to go rogue, they will be booted out of that party seat. 😎

Or they try to find a "scandal" on them to ruin their reputation.

But I like what The Black Authority said a few years back:
"They don't like you because you're Black.....but they MISTREAT you because they can"

In other words.
Racists will be racists, but the amount of power they have directly influences their ability to mistreat you.  So the lesson is we should seek as many positions of power and authority as we can in this world.

Positions are controlled especially within a system of racism white supremacy.

AfroAmericans do not operate within the system like a virus infecting and destroying it.

Real power and authority are taken by force. That's not something AfroAmericans are willing to do. Not yet anyway.😎

I believe SOME power....or maybe a more accurate term would be as Neely Fuller Jr. would put it "position of comfort" in the system of Racism....can be negotiated.

I look at the Asians....who clearly aren't White....but are allowed to have their own little Chinatowns and Koreatowns across the country.
White folks are letting them have SOME power, over themselves atleast.
It's the same with the brown skinned Latinos to a certain extent.

My point is, as a community I believe we can do MUCH better and especially our "leaders" and politicians.
They can get us much much more than what they've gotten us so far which is why I say White folks are FULLY responsible for the condition our community is in.

@Pioneer1, America rewards every other group of people of color because they serve as a buffer between white folks and AfroAmericans.

No other group of people in America is affected by the system of racism white supremacy to the same degree as AfroAmericans.

Other groups of people of color do not feel entitled to an American inheritance because they didn't earn it. They're just happy to be in this country.

AfroAmerican politicians and leaders should be more aggressive and diligent in using their position of comfort to dismantle the system from within especially if they haven't been compromised by it.😎

All of what you just said is ABSOLUTELY true!
However......

When I look at the BEHAVIOR of a large percentage of our people and compare US with these other immigrant groups pound for pound.

You have to admit that collectively speaking not only are they more appreciative of what few opportunities DO exist in this nation, but they also tend to work harder, try harder to stay OUT of trouble, and are more industrious in trying to establish and operate their own businesses.
Things are people (AfroAmericans) were well known for ourselves until about 50 years ago.

Not sure if White folks are encouraging them to practice these traits while discouraging us from doing so.....or perhaps most of our leaders aren't leading us in the right direction.

As a quick aside, when it comes to criticizing the failures of AfroAmerica..... wish Black Republicans/Conservative politicians would start pushing THIS message again instead of the "all roads lead to Trump" bullshit they have been pushing for the past 7 years or so.

There used to be a time when even if they were obvious sell-outs and Toms, atleast you could rely on them to admonish the sins and dysfunctions of the AfroAmerican community.
They won't even do THAT today.

I saw some clown on Youtube a couple years ago calling himself a "Hood Conservative" smoking weed with a gold chain on his neck talking about pimping and supporting Trump...lol.
Who cares about working hard and doing the right thing for Jesus.....those were the OLD Black Conservatives.
The NEW Black Conservatives bash women, smoke weed, and worship Donald Trump...lol

That's a false narrative that's been leveled at AfroAmericans since the 1980s.

While there is some dysfunction among AfroAmericans as a result of poverty and drugs, it's disingenuous for anyone to think or believe AfroAmericans as a whole are less industrious than any other group of people.

America has purposefully exported jobs overseas reducing the number of opportunities available to blue collar workers. One cannot expect skilled workers to work for less than their unions will allow.

Companies are undercutting tradesmen by using non-union workers. *Illegal* immigration is allowed for this very reason.

That's why the folks who control money are not complaining. They sit back and let racists and unemployed folks squabble over who should be allowed into the country.

Again, pay attention to the conditions that paint the false narrative about AfroAmericans. It's another trick of the system.

Then, take a tour of the colleges and universities throughout the country. There's plenty of AfroAmericans on those campuses. Same goes for the workforce.

The main areas AfroAmericans are coming up short is entrepreneurship, pooling our wealth, codification and unification.😎

You've probably heard that narrative over and over because the AfroAmerican community has changed DRASTICALLY since the 80s
But it's more than just a narrative, but behavior I've actually WITNESSED myself over decades.

Embracing the gangsta lifestyle
Shitty business practices.
Lack of discipline and self esteem.
Rampant drug use and addiction.

These vices are found among all ethnic and racial groups but the problem as it relates to our community is not only the negative element GROWN since the 80s but our community seems to embrace much of it and many try to make it part of our culture.

Most other groups try to HIDE their dirty laundry, but since the late 80s a lot of our people have taken pride AIRING their dirty laundry all over television and radio and now online.

And just going to a college campus and witnessing it being flooded out with a bunch of Black kids sagging in skinny jeans isn't a very good barometer of how well our youth are doing academically.

Atleast 2 more things need to be taken into account:

1. How many of these kids will actually GRADUATE with atleast a Bachelor Degree?

2. In what FIELD will they be getting these degrees in?
Will it be in one of the STEM fields that are so important for getting a well paying job, establishing a tech company, or building a new world?
Or did they get a degree in Grasshopper mating, or the vague "Criminal Justice" degree so many Black folk I know got in college before they went on to a career in Target or Starbucks...lol.

@Pioneer1, as I mentioned, there's no shortage of dysfunction among AfroAmericans.

I often refer to the most dysfunctional and toxic as n8gglets.

AfroAmericans should not embrace negativity nor glorify it ignorantly.

Without airing our dirty laundry and putting them on blast, there's a lot AfroAmericans need to do internally to fix our problems. It starts at home.

STEM based careers and businesses are crucial to success especially within the system of racism white supremacy.

We should be encouraging more AfroAmerican students to concentrate on science, math, medicine, engineering and computer programming.

Additionally, we need more AfroAmerican skilled workers in all trades and farmers too.

Ideally, AfroAmericans should be able to run a self-sustaining community (city, state or country) from top to bottom without needing help from any outsiders. 😎

I like how you said we need more farmers!
I've been saying this for over 12 years now....that many of us need to go back to farming.
Many of us have gotten the message of how we need more skilled tradesmen and tech workers and learn construction....that's almost a given.
But many are still sleeping on how important AGRICULTURE is to any civilization and how we need to learn how to grow our own organic and safe food!

Going back to Haiti again on the other page......
Haiti alone....if properly cultivated....could grow enough food to feed every Black man, woman, and child in the Western Hemisphere!

Yes it does appear as if  Immigrants are excelling Nationals....But that is Misleading

That Narrative is the flip side of the "Brain Drain" Narrative....

US Immigration Mostly allow the Cream of the crop of Foreign National s and their families to Live and Work in the US.

So their work ethic and Success rate will be greater than the entire US  population taken as whole

Racism - pure spiteful hate?

or

Money - some are profiting from it?

Politicians are Creatures of Popularity and Consensus - where is the wind blowing?.

It is Naive to expect Politicians to the Right Thing.....WE Must Make Them Do it.

Politicians will always first seek to do the bidding of Money because..... it's Expedient to do So

You make a good point about immigrants usually being the cream of the crop being allowed to come over.
I suppose the typical immigrant would be smarter and more hard working and law abiding that the average citizen back in their native nation who didn't make the cut.

That, and the fact that many of them are on their "best behavior" anyway because they're afraid of getting kicked out.
