My name is Olympia Scott, and I was born and bred in Brooklyn, the uniquely, effervescent heart of New York City. I am a Medgar Evers College English major. Through the college I became affiliated with the highly relevant work of the AALBC, and was fortunate enough to become an intern for the site.

I specialize in creative writing, and look forward to growing in the art of writing from the imagination, as well as contributing useful content to the AALBC. My goal is to help other burgeoning writers, like myself, to continually grow, and to assist established writers by having their work recommended to a receptive audience.

Olympia Has Written the Following Articles for AALBC:

African American Literature Begins with the Slave Narrative
African American Literature During the Civil Rights Era
Contemporary African American Literature
