Maurice L. Williams is the visionary Executive Director of A Father’s Love™ Personal Development and Community Services (AFLPDCS), an award-winning nonprofit rooted in New York City with a nationwide reach. Through a transformative social work lens, he addresses some of the most pressing challenges in marginalized communities, including fatherlessness, mental health disparities, and socioeconomic inequities.

Under his leadership, AFLPDCS has become a beacon of empowerment and healing, known for impactful annual initiatives such as the Christmas Toy and Coat Drive, Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway, Father’s Day BBQ, A Father’s Love™ Day, and the Far Rock Peace Treaty. Through strategic alliances with the Queens District Attorney’s Office, the Urban League of Long Island, local law enforcement, and community-based organizations, Mr. Williams cultivates spaces for education, advocacy, and safety.

Raised by a single mother and formerly involved in the juvenile justice system, Mr. Williams’ personal story is one of remarkable transformation. While incarcerated, he taught himself to read and led more than 200 fellow inmates to literacy, earning his GED behind bars. Upon release, he committed himself to academic and personal excellence, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a Master’s in Communications and later earning a Master of Social Work from Columbia University.

Beyond his nonprofit leadership, Mr. Williams is a bestselling author, indie filmmaker, adjunct lecturer, chaplain, Hip Hop artist, and businessman. His powerful short film series earned an HBO/ABFF nomination, and his artistry as a Hip Hop artist has been featured in National Geographic. His contributions to youth and social justice have been recognized by ABC News, Spectrum NY-1, city officials, and civic leaders across New York State.

As the founder of the A Father’s Love™ Clothing Line, Mr. Williams integrates entrepreneurship with social impact, directing proceeds to youth programs. His unwavering commitment to community transformation, educational equity, and authentic empowerment continues to redefine the role of modern advocacy and leadership. Maurice is married to award-winning businesswoman and bestselling author Darlene Williams.
