  2. Why is that @ProfD? Don’t you think that is weird for a grown azz man to want to spend his free time having sleep over we’ll young boys and his pet chimp?
  3. Today
  4. Nope. As I mentioned in another thread...I wouldn't allow any child to spend the night at MJ's house or that of any grown azz man.😎
  5. Yeah, but would you let your young son spend the night at Michael Jackson’s house @ProfD 🧐
  6. Right. Especially since the fortune of Mansa Musa cannot be traced down through descendants. The city of Dubai locatedin the UAE (United Arab Emirates) is a great example of what can be bought with a vast amount of wealth. Architects & engineers & labor imported from African countries built a destination paradise in the middle of the desert. Some of it was built in the Persian Gulf. IOW, the Arabs didn't do anything new. Construction has been around for thousands of years. While I definitely would not diminish the intelligence of Arabs or any other group of people, the threat of violence has a way of shaping thoughts too. Why do Black folks need them at all to become rich or wealthy? Building wealth definitely requires being aligned with certain poeple. Most wealthy people aren't spritual or religious either. They leave that to people who need an opiate to cope with life.😎
  7. Yesterday
  8. Michael Jackson's (MJ) celebrity & persona went through the stratosphere after the success of Thriller. Everything changed for MJ after 1983 but I still don't believe he was a weird pedophile. White folks definitely aren't going to convince me to think otherwise about the King of Pop.😎
  9. Michael Jackson left behind an amazing legacy of songs and videos. They don't need to be recreated; why mess with perfection? His family story has already been told in more accurate detail on the TV movies that refreshed what I already knew about him because I remember when they happened. This movie is now available on pay TV for $24.00. Guess who ain't gonna pay to see it?
  10. IMO, Bill Maher is a comedian who has a platform to use political discourse for entertainment & a distraction away from racism white supremacy while justifying & propping it up. His guests are carefully selected too.😎
  11. Yes because they were enamored with his celebrity. If wasn't Michael Jackson he would just another weirdo you'd hide you children from -- assuming he was not already in jail.
  12. ProfD The Arabs were not smart &/or forward-thinking. They built Dubai and other cities. You don't consider them smart accomplishments? White folks offered them a deal they couldn't refuse. Give up oil voluntarily & get wealthy or have it taken Venezuela style. True. But this doesn't mean the Arabs weren't smart, it just means that the White folks (non-Arab Whites) MAY be a little smarter, lol. White folks have reached their quota of rich Black folks. There is no quota. They make or break many Black folks as they see fit. The entertainment industry is a great example of this. In what other country can poor kids from the ghetto be given riches and exposure simply by rapping and rhyming about the violence and dysfunction they grew up in? Becoming wealthy or rich is not merely a matter of putting in work. If that was true...a whole lot more people would already be rich. I wrote "put in THE work"...lol. Becoming wealthy isn't simply a matter of just working or putting in any ole type of work but CONCENTRATING YOUR EFFORTS on certain fields, occupations, opportunities, and investments as well as rubbing elbows with the right people. ....on a physical level. On a Spiritual level, other activities seem to be involved.
  13. Lol..... After this movie? ....I'm a HUGE supporter (I don't apply the word "fan" to myself) of his! My love and support for Michael has waxed and waned over the years. When I was younger I was more into traditional R&B and rap but still enjoyed me some Michael. I liked his music but is behavior and public image was a little to eccentric for my tastes. And then the allegations of being with children.....too much. But like Madonna....when one of his jams come on over the radio or on tv, you GOTTA move. I'm not going to lie..... Since watching that movie the other day I've been BINGING on Michael Jackson songs, from the time he was in the Jackson 5 all through up to the 2000s. Even listening to song I hadn't even heard before. Seeing what he went through with his family, especially his father, his tragic accident at the Pepsi commercial shoot....it helped put things in perspective and made a lot of his songs make more sense. As rich and famous as he was, I didn't realize he continued to live with is parents until his late 20s and that he was such a mamma's boy, lol. That movie only showed a fraction of what he went through in his life. He was also a victim of police brutality. What REALLY makes me interested in him is the spiritual aspect of his life. Talking to people who knew him personally or met him in person, they all say he had a type of presence or charisma that even the music or television didn't capture. But if you were in his presence or in the same room with him or even at a concert.....his energy would TAKE you.
  14. @Pioneer1 You are the first Brother that I know of who has expressed an interest in seeing the film, let alone enjoying it. Well, I'm glad to read that you found some joy in watching the Jackson film @Pioneer1 Are you a big time Michael Jackson fan? I was more a fan of the Jackson Five as a group than I was of Michael as a solo artist.
  15. Yes, this is the problem I'm pointing out. Mainstream media never really covert our stories sufficiently and the vacuum left by the dearth of Black journalism is filled by the likes of Rashad and Tariq I'm sure they are entertaining. But like Roland Martin or Steven A. Smith they are just spouting opinions. Probably better than nothing but not the same as having a newsroom. The Final Call is better than all of the above IMHO, but they have an obvious bias to the Nation's ideals. Period. ...Mic drop. Yeah, I watch Bill Maher as well. But I would never confuse him we with being source of journalism any more than Tariq Nasheed. What Maher does do is expose me to the opinions of people I would not otherwise encounter. He had Mike Pence on recently and I did now know Mike could smile or any semblance of a personality. Maher can be funny, but I'm not sure I would actually like him as a person. I suspect Maher is less racist than the average wealthy white man in American. He seems to love Donna Brazille, Neil Degrass-Tyson, John McWorther, Van Jones, Killer Mike, and others liberals and right-wingers are frequently on the show.
  16. I guess Musk as also dethroned Mansa Musa and the richest person the world has even known. I not sure anyone can truly wrap their brains around just how rich this one man is. It is scary.
  17. Yeah, a lot of people thought that. even believing the series it would go 7 games just to generate more revenue. The knicks have basically restored Villanova's Championship team. Bronson dad played for the last knicks team to make the finals. Such a great story!
  18. @Pioneer1 As, usual, the scenario your defective mind "pictures" is way off the mark. Now trot on back to your stall and "eat yo pancakes".
  19. @Pioneer : I know this will be difficult for you since you're allergic to accuracy but can you, for one moment, divest yourself of the defective lens you view the world through and tell me how those pictures of me are "all over the internet". And WHO is it you mistakenly presume I owe an apology to? Otherwise, stfu.
  20. The Arabs were not smart &/or forward-thinking. White folks offered them a deal they couldn't refuse. Give up oil voluntarily & get wealthy or have it taken Venezuela style. White folks have reached their quota of rich Black folks. Becoming wealthy or rich is not merely a matter of putting in work. If that was true...a whole lot more people would already be rich.😎
  21. All forms of entertainment including sports serve as an opiate & healthy distraction to keep people from getting too stressed &/or depressed in life. I thought the NBA would force 1 more game & allow the Knicks to win the championship back in NY. Guess the NBA was satisfied with the money haul especially game 3 when POTUS OJ attended the game & drove ticket prices up & shut down areas around Madison Square Garden. Congrats to the Knicks in overcoming a 53-year drought & winning the NBA championship.😎
  22. I've heard from other folks who've seen the movie that it looks like there will be a part 2. Makes sense from a cash perspective.😎
  23. Good So now you'll only have to apologize to ONE person for spreading their picture all over the internet without their permission. As a matter of fact..........
  24. The Arabs....especially the elite.....were smart and forward thinking enough to "get in" with the rich White folks to enrich themselves. ....at the expense of being enemies to some of their own brethren at times, however it is what it is. Although certainly White folks wouldn't allow ALL Black Americans to get rich in America, they certainly would have allowed a lot more of us get rich than currently are. A lot of our people simply didn't want to put in the work to make that happen.
  25. Sometimes even well seasoned meat needs to be trimmed up from time to time...lol. ....and if the meat is too lean it often needs to be marbled to enhance the flavor...lol.
  26. Cynique You're just having a GOOD ole time playing around with AI while sitting up in your dark dank room, ain't ya?
  27. New York City has erupted into an orgy of celebration, its streets swarming with crowds delirious with joy over the KNICKS ending their 53-year drought and defeating the San Antonio Spurs to become NBA champions! Congrats to them as they leave no doubt as to which was the better team by winning 4 out of 5 games to take the crown. Good job!! It's a sign of the times that victorious sports teams are generating so much enthusiasm from their followers. LIfe looms so uncertain, - is filled with such strife, due to the political and economic turmoil stifling the country, that people are desperate for things to cheer about. Anything to invest their hopes in! Here in Chicago, even our hapless white Sox, have the city excited because for the first time in 7 years, the team is playing .500 ball, even as BEAR fans can hardly wait for football to return, hoping for another thrilling season to distract us from the national conflict. Keeping up with the home teams has certainly added a little excitement to my hum drum existence. Sending the message that "good things come to those who wait," makes the KNICKS even bigger heroes. Electing a competent, respectable leader to succeed Donald Trump is certainly worth waiting for!
