Hi Phil, I'm sorry but we are not going to do the free book review for The Short Happy Life of Wyatt Outlaw, despite the fact that I believe it deserves to be reviewed. The challenge for use is that "free" reviews,, like commissioned reviews, take resources. Reviewers are all paid for their work and of course there is my time. Free reviews are not really "free." So, like many other platforms, we are very selective when it comes to deciding which books we will review at no cost to the author. I trust you understand. Troy, I do understand, and thank you for your response. Also, thank you for posting the newspaper article on the Forum page. I've had a good response from white readers, many saying my story changed their entire perspective about racial issues. My main goal now, and always has been, is to get some response from Black readers---but I'm not getting any. It may be that many Black readers are hesitant to read a novel about enslavement and lynching written by a free white man. I admit it's difficult for me to empathize, but I tried hard to feel myself in Wyatt's place. In any case you've made me and many other aware of your book and Wyatt Outlaw, so the request was certainly not in vain 🙂I'm trying!

With AI it takes very little effort to do this kind of thing. My problem is that I post a 1,000+ word article on an indie website. All the literature today says this is too long an article, as people do not read things this long. More than 1,000 people clicked on the article and if 10% read it that is great. Most of the feedback I've received has been positive but most of that can in via email. RE: Black Twitter everyone I talk to about if from the perspective of what happened to it, does not buy into my premise. The presumption is that my premise is wrong; Twitter is where journalists go for news. ☹️

I agree with this. Looking back, a lot of the predictions from 2022 didn't really play out the way people expected. Instead of one company pulling far ahead, we've ended up with three very different approaches to gaming. Microsoft has leaned heavily into services and expanding beyond the console itself, Sony continues to focus on high-quality exclusives, and Nintendo is still proving that great games matter more than having the most powerful hardware. I also think players are much less tied to a single platform than they were a few years ago. Cross-play, PC releases, cloud gaming, and subscription services have changed how a lot of people decide what and where to play. It'll be interesting to see how things look again in another three or four years.

True, however the vast VAST majority of illegal immigrants in the United States are clearly Central American. So when I look at the so-called "New Black Media" and who they focus on. When I look at the thumbnails for their Youtube videos and who's images THEY are using for the face of illegal immigrants, it makes me wonder why they're so focused on Haitians and Africans. ICE is deporting a variety of people who have illegally immigrated or over-stayed visas. There were a lot of Latinos here in the USA before illegal immigration increased it. White folks aren't really looking to deport their labor force. They certainly don't want to work farms & do construction themselves.😁😎
