@ProfD contraception comes in many forms and the only free contraception i know of is abstinence, which has always existed, but again, if humanity abided by your stated action then humanity wouldn't exist today. Black people like Nat King Cole, like Frederick Douglass, MLK jr, James Forten, Michelle side Barrack Obama have always existed in the usa or the white european colonies/dominions that proceded it. Black people like Nat King Cole say to non blacks, non black dosers, that I will treat you with respect, with civility , even if you don't treat me the same. @ProfD well fiscally poor people are not irresponsible for bringing children in this world, the simple truth is some fiscally poor people never have the ability to raise their children, no matter how hard they try. Maybe there isn't but I have doubts, too many black people I have heard offline speak of fiscally poor people, especially black people ... being irresponsible having children... Obviously. Nowhere did I type anyone wss mal-intentioned in having children. Irresponsible is the more appropriate word for people bringing children into the world & unable to provide for & protect them. There is no "don't warrant having children" philosophy or movement. No Black leaders have championdd such a thing as far I know. Many people in one way or another & for similar reasons through their actions have purposefully avoided bringing children into this world. Colorism isn't a LOGICAL issue that can be resolved simply by appealing to people's intellect and reasoning. It also involves deep seated psychological and emotional factors that are often found in people's subconscious. If a woman feels that she's ugly or undesirable because she's dark skinned and has been bullied over it since childhood....getting a PhD isn't going to help resolve that issue. Black history course alone will not be enough to resolve her issues. This is why ENTERTAINMENT and RELIGION must also be incorporated in healing and repairing the damage. These are activities that involve the emotions at a deep level. Create systems that promote celebrate and reward all skin tones hues and shades... No, medium and dark skin specifically. Saturate Mass Media with the Spectrum of all shades ....as equally as possible. What you're saying SOUNDS fair...but it's not. AfroAmericans need EXTRA and MORE than the Whites in order to REPAIR the damage and balance out the historic injustices. So the logic goes with promoting dark skinned and other African featured standards of beauty.....AND HANDSOMENESS. Dark skinned Black men with strong African features have also been shaded in this society for a long time. Not as much as women...but still. We should also know that a lot of the colorism in America today isn't coming from the Whites OR the AfroAmericans, but from immigrant groups like Latinos and Asians and Indians.

My parents never suggested parental success is some mandatory, the key is to try, but failure is an option, a failing parent doesn't mean a malintentioned one. again, my enslaved forebears who were born and died enslaved to some white person weren't malintentioned because they had children. Their descendents first not legally enslaved while in jim crow were not malintentioned by having children absent any financial opportunity. I have read many things of black people in the 1800s, I don't recall any thing like that. ProfD A lot of people who have children in poverty come from a religious or "culturally" religious background. 1. They think abortions and birth control are wrong and immoral. 2. They believe that if they have children that "God" will take care of them and make a way for them somehow. It's hard to convince them otherwise because it's culturally ingrained.
