  1. As a Revered and a 'leader' in the community, this is news. And yes this is trifling for someone in Jesse Jackson position. The least he can do is take care of his child. [And this article is not that old ]
  2. *Well now, isn’t this interesting. It seems as though Rainbow Push Coalition founder and former Democratic presidential candidate Jesse Jackson is in the hot seat. Karin Stanford, who was Jackson’s mistress and fathered a child with the civil rights leader, is slapping Jackson with court papers claiming that the former Democratic presidential candidate owes $11,64.50 in child support for their 12-year-old daughter Ashley. The National Enquirer exposed the long-term extramarital affair in an exclusive in January 2001. Jackson, who is still married to his wife, Jackie, admitted paternity
  3. Unfortunately this fits too many, no matter how much we hate to admit it. There needs to be some kind of moral conscious revival collectively by those truly concerned. We have a serious crisis. Although I find black republicans and black democrats equally naive.
  4. I really appreciate Iyanla's wisdom and courage so I will definitely be on the lookout for her show. This is definitely a positive for O network.
  5. I was wondering what race she is also,I tend to think she is black or bi-racial.And i think she told on him because she was paid very well. They say she's unemployed, she needs the money. And she do seem troubled to me, like Herman Cain said. But i believe her, over him.
  6. Yeah...makes you wonder if some of these people have a brain.Definitely time for old man Cain to go and sit down. I'm waiting for that comedian Paul Mooney,to do a Herman Cain gets his wake up call, real soon.
  7. Troy i respect the good Obama has done...but he have not kept certain promises...but i feel he is limited to what he can do anyway. He is just a figurehead, there are others running the show.My opinion.
  8. Oh i believe many people recognize Eddie Long for what he is.I heard his church is like a ghost town now. I feel one can be a person of faith and and question things...i think we all do that. There are people who have their heads in the sand but that can include the freethinkers too.Like i don't trust Obama.I feel he answer to others over him. Some black people you can't say anything bad about Obama simply because of his color. And they will accuse you of self-hatred.So i usually keep my mouth shut about Obama. It has become popular to knock religion and and blame it for everything. We
  9. I am not a Christian but i do know of sincere people of different faiths. And some have talked about how their faith have given them strength and change their life around for the better. We hear so much about the Eddie Longs and Clefo Dollars,we forget about the genuine people of faith. But everyone is entitled to their opinion.
  10. Anything that upholds Brother Malcolm...i love and support. He is one of our great heroes.

  12. Until Death Do Us Part: 8 Reasons For Marital Failure Amongst African Americans By Dr. Umar Abdullah-Johnson, Psy.D., NCSP, M.Ed. Nationwide (November 6, 2011) -- Discussions about the epidemic are everywhere, from the latest best-selling novels to academic discussions on college campuses, to passionate discussions between Frat brothers & Sister circles. The question everyone wants answered is "WHY?" Unfortunately, many of the traditional reasons you have been given for the premature romantic meltdowns amongst Blacks are inaccurate and insufficient. These very same fac
  13. Looks like a good movie.I love to see positive black movies.I like some of Tyler Perry movies but i do get tired of seeing so much dysfunction.
  14. Ahhhhh....bless your heart for stopping by.I still haven't had a chance to read it though. The library here doesn't carry it and it was quite expensive to get else where due to it being out of print.
  15. My heart goes out to these young men for what thay had to endure from this hypocritical creep. Those that continue to support Eddie Long and his church is as guilty as he is.He took fatherless boys who needed a father figure in their lives, and used and exploited them. His sick behind should be forced to step down.Really his sick behind should be doing serious prison time.Where is Al Sharpton...can't play the race card on this one. Here is more info on the book http://tattletailzz....the-first-lady/

  23. IT'S not that easy being a King. The mantle of Kingship weighs heavily on the shoulders of Black America's first family and its chosen spokesman, 42-year-old Dexter Scott King, feels that pressure intensely as he tries to preserve his father's "Dream" and pursue his own. In his new book, Growing Up King: An Intimate Memoir, written with Ralph Wiley, he candidly confronts his critics and poignantly examines the effect his father's assassination had on his childhood, adolescence and early adulthood. He also discusses other family tragedies including the murder of his grandmother and the de
