  1. I have a "homegrown" website. I'm asking readers to please visit. Any suggestions for improvement are appreciated. Is the website interesting? Would you refer anyone to it? I've attached posts on what I call the reasons people don't visit my website. Hopefully, it will bring a smile to your day.
  2. I suspect I’m one of a small handful of Black indie writers who write an African-American Historical Fiction series. I post daily on Instagram what I call this date in “white history.” It’s not Black history because to quote my favorite African Proverb: “Until the lion tells the story, the hunter will always be the hero.” Every day, I post an episode of white history describing murders of men, women, and children, court rulings declaring us less than human, and terrorism directed toward Black Americans somewhere in America. It’s called “this date in white history.” When you understand their history, you must write about it. We need to tell people about white history. The Klan bombed a civil rights icon’s home in Birmingham on December 25, 1956. On Xmas day! Teach white people their history of violence and bigotry. Will it make a difference? I don't know
  3. Before Podcasts, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and countless other outlets there were Black newspapers, magazines, and books to document our history. During the early days of segregation, they banned the Chicago Defender in the South! Now they want to whitewash history. The role of Black literature regardless of format is to preserve our incredible story for future generations. We need to tell the story our way. An African Proverb “Until the lion tells the story, the hunter will always be the hero.”
  4. Do you read Black history books? Do you enjoy stories with remarkable characters? How about good vs evil thrillers? The WhileBlack Chronicles are meant for readers who enjoy all of the above! I want folks to understand how amazing we are. The best way for me to convey that is in a good story.
  5. This is a great gift for a young adult who is an avid reader. #13 in African Literature (Kindle Store) #24 in Teen & Young Adult US 19th Century Historical Fiction eBooks #59 in Teen & Young Adult 19th Century United States Historical Fiction
  6. History tells us we should be very concerned I have documented through the whileBlack Chronicles’ the Country’s violent response to maintain the status quo after slavery ended in 1865. I can only assume free Black people intimidated you to the point you fell back on what you do best. Fast Forward 2023: Homegrown terrorists are ready to protect white men hell-bent on getting elected and never leaving. Never underestimate the violence these people are capable of. The former governor of Arkansas said,” We will either win in 2024 by the ballot or the bullet.” But I’m amazed at folks who tell me they can't support Biden so they will either not vote or vote for a third party. If enough people do that, our lives will change, and not in a good way. If not Biden then any Democrat will be better than the alternative whomever it might be.
  7. How would I do that? I'm published on am*zon. When I have eBook promotions I post on AALBC
  8. When I try to post a blog for some reason I'm landing on the Godaddy page telling me my request has been denied by the firewall. Other functions are working fine, ie Forums, This happened last week. Yesterday I was able to post a blog and now once again I'm getting the Godaddy message. Is anyone else having this issue?
  9. I enjoy writing African-American historical fiction stories. The whileBlack Chronicles’ expose how truly terrifying it must have been for our Elders. We need to continue to tell our story. It’s a fascinating history of survival when told from a different perspective. Black literature is critical to our mental health. Last call: On November 15, 2023, free eBook promotion on the second book in the whileBlack Chronicles, “If The Elders Call.” If you like to read with a purpose and haven’t experienced the whileBlack Chronicles’ this is a no-risk introduction. o #39 in Teen & Young Adult US 20th Century Historical Fiction eBooks o #58 in African Literature (Kindle Store) o #215 in Teen & Young Adult 20th Century United States Historical Fiction Customer Reviews: 4.4 4.4 out of 5 stars 76 ratings
  10. Hi Dee, I will look into the Black Greatness Forum. Those are my kind of people. LOL. Thanks
