That house is not representative of Mexico, there are

lots of regular steel and concrete constructed buildings

over in Juarez, and some people have very nice homes

there, I have been there.

That picture and other factors is what makes Mexico a 

third world nation.  Large parts of it are under-developed

with many people living in abject poverty.

There is a large area of cardboard homes visible across

the border from the I-10 in El Paso, it has been that way

for a long time, at least twenty years.

But there are other parts of the city that are modern and 

well-developed, with hotels, restaurants, and everything

else you would find in the U.S.

I have not been to Mexico City, although I've seen it on 

TV.  But I'm looking at their nation as a whole, not just

their capital and other major cities.  

Consider another South American nation, like Brazil,

it has modern major cities and is industrialized, but

it is still considered as a third world nation.

That comment was not very well thought out, 

especially when so many college-educated 

people have taken menial jobs, or side-hustles,

Even before COVID, people either didn't have 

other options, or some of those menial jobs 

could be better paying than the typical white-

collar jobs that degreed people usually have.

And some people just don't like working in a 

cubicle or office, they would rather deal with 

people or be outdoors or whatever.

You can't assume that people are dumb or 

uneducated based only on the job they have.

This new mayor needs to think and do more, 

and talk less so that he doesn't put his foot 

in his mouth.

A city like NYC has too many people to try 

to put them into some box of preconceived

opportunities, it's much more difficult to make

anything positive  happen for themself.

It's hard to get yourself out of poverty when

everyone around you is in poverty also, and

your entire nation is poverty struck.

I don't know what's going on with you, but you

damn sure won't be getting those services if

you are in a third world country.

And where are you going to get your medical 

treatment from?  The village witch doctor?

I don't care about math, statistics, ratios, percentages,

probability, or anything else.  I am not taking any vaccine

with those types of side effects.

I have not studied other vaccines, but I don't think there

Hopefully the one the Army is developing won't have any

of these crazy issues.  I would be willing to take that, and

since I am an Army wife, I am certain that it will be

available to me.

Why the heck would anybody want to go live in 

a third world country.  You still have to pay taxes

to the IRS if you live and work outside the U.S.

You don't have your American citizen rights and 

the embassies are not going to come to your 

rescue if something goes sideways.

effects that have been reported, including death.
