I looked at two forum posts concerning whoopi goldberg and none focused on the point, what did WHoopie Goldberg say and was it the truth

What did WHoopie Goldberg say, I paraphrase close to a quote: "Why are they upset over nudity more than the holocaust...Well, this is White people doing it to White people, so y'all gonna fight amongst yourselves,...If you're going to do this, then let's be truthful about it because the Holocaust isn't about race....man's inhumanity to man...its about two White groups of people... your missing the point, it's about how people treat each other... if your worried about Maus, they are not going to say it is about me, they are going to say, I don't want to be like that"

    So, what were Whoopie's points?

1)The people who want to ban MAus's book are more interested in nudity than the violence between human beings?
2)THe violence between human beings in Maus book is more of an issue than the nudity
3)The actions of the National socialist party of germany concerning the holocaust or in general within germany was about white people to white people.
    4)White people fight amongst themselves
    5)The holocaust isn't about race
6)The holocaust is about man's inhumanity to man
7)The holocaust is about two groups of white people
8)Children reading the book will not ponder about the inter human violence, they will not want to be the abused.

What is the truth in each point?
    1) Truth, the people banning "Maus" are stating the primary reason is nudity, in a modern media where nudity is rampant. Either they are lying , and they want to ban a book that speaks on the holocaust or racial issues, or they are fanatic about an issue, nudity in public, that in the modern USA is near impossible to fight off.
    2) False, neither is an issue. Books , like all forms of art, are not obliged to many anyone comfortable but the writer and the reader who wishes to or continues to read.
    3) Truth, most of the people in germany are white, regardless of their religious race. Sequentially, this is an issue within the phenotypical race commonly called white.
    4) Truth, the Nazi party of the USA was as emboldened to follow Hitler as any other Nazi party throughout the world.
    5) False, the holocause is about religious race. It isn't about phenotypical race. White jews are jews, while also white. A White christian in germany can say a white jew is not german, as german is a label for three seperate races. A geographic/cultural/linguistic race.
    6) False, All of war is about human negativity towards other humans but not inhumanity. Cruelty/savagery/slavery are negative things but not inhuman things. When a male lion defeats another male lion and kills a cub of the defeated lion, that is not an inlion act. Nor does it mean the victorious lion is a sinner or evil. The point of power is to be powerful. To continue your line while the others end. The goal of the NAzi's concerning their murder sprees was erasing those not deemed appropriate for Nazi german, by there standards,  who lived in Nazi Germany. They wanted a germany free of jews/romani/midgets. The USA itself had many an eugenics program. The goal is to kill some bloodline and continue others. It isn't inhuman but it is very negative for those whose bloodlines are at risk.
    7) Truth, the white jew in germany side the white nazi , comprehend that white jews existed in nazi germany as collaborators. Sequentially, even the Nazi party of germany thought white jews had a positive function that was worth not killing them.
😎 Truth, the role of parents is to guide children. In the USA most parents guide children to not be the abused. It isn't about character, it is about power. Be the slave master, not the slave. The slave master may be disliked but the slavemaster is free, the slavemaster controls their life.

In conclusion, I see five true points and three false points in Whoopie's statements. An employer has the right to suspend or fire an employee , if the contract doesn't protect the employee, based on their literature. Freedom of speech for most jobs in the usa historically doesn't protect the laborer from the firm's negative appraisals.
All the talk about the person of whoopie goldberg or the potency of the white jewish community is invalid to the issue.

@richardmurray, IMO, it's not about whether Whoopi Goldberg said something that was right or wrong. She's entitled to say whatever she thinks. But, she should have known better too.

Same applies to your treatise. You have a right to your opinion/belief.

BTW, humans are not animals. We do not have to rely solely on instincts for survival. As a result, we do not have to be savage. That's a choice.

From where I sit, black folks don't need to insert themselves in word, deed or action when it comes to white folks going against each other.

As black folks,we have our problems with white supremacy.  😎

Whoopi is part of a panel on a popular TV talk show that airs free to most. So she is supposed to and expected to offer a take on trending issues and events.

I do not think many people understand her role in the popular TV media. The View is not a news show, but too many erroneously believe it is.

      She simply spoke in error.

I have no idea why some have no clue where the name Goldberg came from. Whoopi was trying to break into the stand-up comedy scene and her adopted last name allowed her to stand out.

I always thought she was funny, devastatingly sarcastic and a pretty good actress.

But that statement she made was a terrible mistake. Not to mention wrong.

My thoughts as I listened to Shayla Black side her husband William Black communicating with Tara of Kobo Writing Life
All links are available in the AALBC link below.

      circa 10:49
That is a great question, Tara. Is a book written between parents and child a genre? I can't recall any book co-authored between generations
      circa 12:45
she said being a hybrid author you can't control everything. They wouldn't want a competing book schedule.
      circa 14:46
shayla says every sunday morning she talks business with authors. Maybe every author needs a business circle of authors to talk with on a regular basis.
      circa 16:29
shayla offered william, a business plan to get her spouse to leave his job, and make her writing career better. He said he had 100% faith in her.
      circa 17:39
she said, the marital relationship needed the bonding cause they were starting to be very busy with two different lives. She said most couples have problems being in the same house together.
      circa 18:36
William says, network, network, network, you have to multiversify, and the community of networking is always changing, but it is a long process and you will make mistakes of ignorance.
I agree to him, that Kobo is a very pleasant experience with backend work. I have applied to many different platforms and Kobo is the easiest. I agree to william as well, computer engineers design the systems to interface without any comprehension of writing a book.
      circa 21:46
Shayla has not found plotting straightforward yet. Shayla says she has used all plotting models
      circa 23:19
I agree to Shayla, romance is not formulaic. I think people confuse a genre's nature with formula. A movel whose main plot point is the relationship between two people trying to strengthen their love will have moments of intimacy , moments of collission. Is it formula or reality of a genre?
      circa 23:54
shayla gives books preorders nine to twelve months in advance
      circa 26:04
shayla makes a good point, some authors have readers who are fans while also supportive, some fans to other authors feel entitled.
      circa 31:23
Shayla feels the newsletter is vital, but her thought it, newsletters need to be framed where the author talks with , not at the , audience
      circa 33:25
William says to the introvert, let the fan feed the conversation and practice makes perfect.
      circa 35:20
Have they had their books translated into other languages besides english?
      circa 38:14
shayla has an agent that does her audio translations or literal translations. She doesn't feel she knows enough about translations so she sells her rights through agents.
she said after the pandemic foreign publishers have not been the same
french, spanish, portuguese, japanese, russian, israeli... she will rather a steady french or german translation stream
some publishers didn't come to their office for two years.
      circa 43:14
Shayla said she wanted to find a book that was larger than 5,000 words that she can read from dinner to bedtime, she couldn't find it so she wrote it herself.
she found it more challenging to sink into books as she reads words all day
      circa 47:10
if a film producer said they want a shayla black book to be made into a movie, and they want the author to provide the name, name the  book of yours you recommend first and name the book of yours you recommend last?
      circa 48:23
shayla's answers... in her heart of hearts, wicked and devoted for netflix
      circa 49:20
William says he will handle the casting
      circa 50:02
Tara asked what were the Black's doing 2012, for kobo writing life 10 year anniversary. they answered.... 2012 is when shayla presented her presentation to her husband to aid in her business
      circa 52:20
she is waiting for some artists to figure out the place to mix music/video/writing and open up the world of fiction to many more people
She wants something engaging and layered but they can sink into a few minutes but got a whole story
      circa 54:50
a mini musical , like rock of ages but shorter, and through an app, but alot of ideas, she can see it in her head but the rights issue is huge, music, actors, are quite expensive
      circa 55:58
the interview is ending, they state their online locales
I suggested 3d printing for their merchandise

Somewhere online I read a commentary concerning the situation of Brittney Griner in Russia.

    First commentor

Listening to a radio show this morning and they were discussing this and one of the female DJs said "To be honest I don't think they would use her as a political pawn because this country doesn't value or respect Black women and it would be a lost cause." and honestly I agree with her.
    Second commentor
I don’t know…they don’t necessarily value black folks in general. They don’t care what happens to her either.

Now most Black people in the world , or the USA in particular, know comments like these. Black folk love using pronouns for the white community or the usa or the united kingdom or white power. I do have a huge dislike when Black people say they instead of whites. I truly feel we, meaning Black people, have to stop that pronoun crap. Say whitey. That isn't hurting them.
But, after clarifying who they is, a question, a functional question comes to my mind.
What do Black individuals who live in the USA want for the Black community, I can ask for the world but I will not go there, in the USA fifty years from now?
If so many Black people know whites don't like them, and the government they live in is controlled by whites, then what do black individuals want for the black community down the road?
It seems to me, Black individuals don't speak about what they want for the Black community. I know what Black individuals want for themselves. That is easy. Every Black person has heard another Black person say, I want benjamins, I want to be respected, I .. I ... I something. But, what does the Black Individual want for the Black community?

It isn't one answer for all, it is each having their own answer, but what is it? Cause I don't hear many Black people saying what they want for the Black community down the road?  If nothing, that is fine, but say it even.

The Wild Seeds Writers Retreat for Writers of Color (formerly the North Country Institute & Retreat for Writers of Color), is a collaboration with the Center for Black Literature, the English Department at SUNY, Plattsburgh, and the Paden Institute and Retreat for Writers. It provides a writing community where established and emerging writers of color can focus on the craft of writing and create cross-cultural conversations around the literature created by writers of the African diaspora.

Writing fellows have an opportunity to draw upon their experiences as writers in a racialized society; to become knowledgeable about the issues facing other writers of color; and to study with a professional in the genres of fiction, memoir, and poetry.

Recognizing that the Writers Retreat should not be limited to a specific geographical region, the Center renamed the Retreat in honor of Octavia E. Butler, a speculative fiction writer known globally for blending science fiction with African American spiritualism. Butler's writing crossed many boundaries and represented varying diverse voices.

    The Goal

The Retreat strives to provide writers of color with an opportunity to meet other writers; to workshop their writing among peers; and to engage with published writers about concerns and issues related to writing and publishing. Through its writing workshops leaders, the Retreat provides the public with an opportunity to become knowledgeable about the range and diversity of the work produced by writers of color.

    A Look Back

The first Writers' Retreat, held in 2004, was highly successful and featured the internationally acclaimed poet Sonia Sanchez, author Tony Medina, and writer Indira Ganesan. Subsequent faculty workshop leaders have been nonfiction writer Patrice Gaines; poets Martin Espada, E. Ethelbert Miller, Aracelis Girmay, and Patricia Spears Jones; and writers Jeffery Renard Allen, Marita Golden, Victor LaValle, and Bernice McFadden, among many others.

Typically, the Retreat alternates between the Valcour Educational and Conference Center in Plattsburgh, New York, and the campus of Medgar Evers College in Brooklyn, New York. Venues are subject to change.

    NEW LOCATION for SUMMER 2022

The new location for the Retreat will be determined soon. It will be a scenic location Upstate New York as in previous years. As of early April 2022, the summer retreat will no longer be held at SUNY, New Paltz (The State University of New York, New Paltz) as previously announced.

    MY THOUGHTS

The largest tragedy to the Black community in the USA is the purpose of its posture. Here is a community whose majority has never been happy in nor desired to be a part of the USA. But said majority never had a leadership that reflected its true desire. Instead the leadership of the Black community in the USA never wholly committed to a positive functional communal Black agenda, while promoting a dysfunctional neutral individual Black agenda. The Black community in the USA is led by a majority seeking individual treasures, while the body is a majority wanting communal empowerment. At this moment, the Black body has been sacrificed for the Black selfish minority. Shame on the Black community in the USA for not doing anything about that.

Family awarded $1.5M after inmate dies by suicide, buried at prison without their knowledge
    By Dean Meminger The Bronx
    PUBLISHED 9:15 PM ET May. 10, 2022

The funeral for Lonnie Hamilton happened six months after he died. He was buried in 2016.

That's because when the 22-year-old died by suicide in a state prison near Syracuse, no one told his family in the Bronx.

"Ultimately buried him up at the Marcy Correctional Facility without letting anybody know," said attorney Zachary Giampa.

The Hamilton family found out two months after the fact. They eventually had his body exhumed to hold their own funeral.

Now, six years later, a state judge awarded Lonnie Hamilton's family $1.5 million.

Judge Francis Collins ruled New York State Corrections and Community Supervision, which runs state prisons, and the Office of Mental Health were negligent in Hamilton's death and didn't afford his family a proper funeral.

In his decision, the judge pointed out that Hamilton's prison record "describes an individual who needs or may need psychiatric treatment for a major mental disorder and requires housing in a facility with full-time OHM (office of mental health) staff."

Hamilton was sentenced to two-to-six years for a robbery. When he died, he was in the special housing unit at Marcy Correctional Facility in solitary confinement. Other inmates testified he was being mistreated and threatened to kill himself and corrections officers encouraged him to do it.

One former inmate, who didn't want to give his name told NY1 what he heard corrections officers say.

“’Save your breath, ain't you going to kill yourself,’”  recalled the former inmate. “They kept telling him, ‘Ain't you going to kill yourself.’”

"That was corroborated with two other individuals that were incarcerated and in cells next to him who testified to that same exact fact," said family attorney Zachary Giampa. "About five other individuals providing written statements all saying the same thing."

Court documents say the same week he killed himself he was taken off of suicide watch by mental health workers. Just minutes before he hung himself with a sheet, a corrections officer reported seeing him standing on his prison bed, but didn't tell him to get down. The judge found plenty of documentation that Hamilton was a threat to himself and wrote in his decision, "Lonnie previously attempted suicide by hanging and felt he had 'nothing' to look forward to."

His family hadn't spoken to Hamilton in a few months and when they did a prisoner search online on the state's corrections website, they were stunned it said the 22-year-old was deceased.

Prison officials say they could not locate his family, despite his family still living at the same address where Hamilton was arrested. They're outraged that no one was fired for his death.

In reference to the court ruling in favor of the Hamilton family, the state's corrections department said in a statement, "The decision, which involves both the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision and the Office of Mental Health is being reviewed."

The family now has a federal court case against individual corrections officers for violating the constitutional rights of the 22-year-old.

    What You Need To Know
Records show Lonnie Hamilton tried to commit suicide several times

His family believes corrections officers tried to cover up their son's mistreatment and death

Twenty-seven percent of 31,000 prisoners in state custody are being treated for mental illness
Advocates say it's not just Rikers and city jails, but state prisons have lots of issues as well

As a woman-founded and women-led company, our hearts are broken at the Roe v Wade overturn. Every woman and person who are able to be pregnant deserves the right to have autonomy over their own bodies.

As filmmakers, we champion womxn in our stories and fight for them more in our everyday world.

With 6 days remaining to our campaign, Filled With Magic productions will donate 50% the funds we raise from now to July 1 to local abortion funds in Florida and across the South.

Please help us spread the word as we stand with womxn.
