One thing has been made clear: AOC and Progressives are idiots

Recommended Posts

After Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez managed to get herself elected in a Bronx-Queens, N.Y., district in 2022, Democrats were ecstatic. "She's young! She's smart! She's beautiful. She cares about people"

That is what many crowed. I took a wait and see approach. Heady with undeserved praise, AOC believed she was a political goddess. So much so, she decided she was going to end Trump's government shutdown all by herself.

So she put on her red lipstick, invited chosen media types to join her as she stomped into the Rayburn Senate Office Building to find Sen. Mitch McConnell and force him to help her. Unfamiliar with the Rayburn building, Ms. Knucklehead got lost. It was then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi who ended the shutdown. But AOC wasn't done. She appointed herself sotto voce ruler of Black people and her Justice Democrats PAC targeted eight elected Black Congressmen for defeat. No one else. Just Black representatives. I guess they weren't sufficiently radical enough.

We know AOC loves Mexican immigrants. Which is why the folks who greet migrants at the Port Authority Bus Terminal fill their head with what they supposedly deserve from taxpayers. Because of the advice they got from AOC and her Progressive minions. To be fair, Chinese also do this for their new arrivals through their community agencies.

Which is why many Latino migrants refuse to go shelters, which are at capacity anyway. They want three-star hotel rooms. Think Haitian immigrants are awarded hotel rooms, able to toss away carefully prepared meals, shun registering, according to our laws and are treated with kid gloves by law enforcement?

A year ago, I predicted New York City would quickly run out of money trying to house and please these migrants. And it has.

Mayor Eric Adams was forced to slash the municipal budget. So ordinary New Yorkers will have to put up with slashed services in AOC's Wonderful World of Migrants. Of course, you could always vote for Republicans and get your kids schools shut down, be told your history dosen't count, be ordered to never mention your Black heroes because that's being woke.

Running away as someone suggested will never work. But Voting does.

Wah wah wah whaaaaaaaaaaat?

Is this Mr.Democrat HIMSELF Stefan talking?????

I didn't trust AOC no further than I could throw her anyway.
Plenty of Black and dark Mulatto Puerto Ricans up in New York and they pick a light Meztizo looking one to represent the community?
She looks more like she should be representing Mexicans than Puerto Ricans; which is probably why she gets so much support from the Mexican American community where most other Blacker Puerto Ricans don't.

I don't hater her.
Nor do I think she's a bad person.
But I know she's looking out for "her people" and not Black folks despite all of this "progressive" talk.

She's also appealing to the Middle class liberal White population with her "Green New Deal" agenda that doesn't include Universal Healthcare and affordable housing but a ton of shit about climate change and the ecology....something most Black and poor people are struggling too much to focus on.

Notice how the Republicans will criticize AOC all day long but don't really TAKE ACTION against her like they just did Ilhan Omar, and remove her from office.
Because she doesn't really pose a threat to their agenda.

Sorry to read NYC is slashing its budget, but it is probably a bit much to blame it on AOC.  I'm not a fan of hers but that is mostly because she strikes me as a kid out of her depth, not an ideal representative for a district in NYC-- but the media loves her...

I guess you can add fiscal woes and shitty weather for a couple more good reasons to run away from NYC 😉

Seriously, NYC is a city of immigrants -- always has been.  If NYC can no longer assimilate those fleeing persecution and hardship we have really taken a turn for the worse.

Yep.  AOC is a media darling.  I would not be surprised if she is propped up to run for POTUS in 2028 or 2032. 😎

That witch will not win. She is just Bernie Sanders with saggy boobs.

The two them wasted a chance to give People of Color another Voting Rights Bill. Preferring instead to shove a bunch of socialist demands into their Build Back Better Bill which of course, failed.

There shouldn't be a need for a Voting Rights Bill.

The fact that our right to vote has to be legislated is the bigger problem.

Neither AOC nor Bernie Sanders should be relied upon to help solve it.

AfroAmericans in Congress and political positions all over the country should be making it their 1st, 2nd and 3rd priority to pass legislation favorable to us.😎

There is a great need for a second Voting Rights Bill.

The problem with many in these Discussion forums is that they refuse to acknowledge reality. We need a law that guarantees our Right to Vote. Black people never figured in the Colonists' plans for the future.

I don't give a hoot about Bernie Sanders or AOC. But they believed they had the votes in the House to implement their Socialist agenda. I would not rely on either to deliver a roll of toilet paper.

@ProfD

I love you, man! But you were complaining. This is why I have been saying we NEED a new Voting Rights Bill. The reason why as you claim Afro Americans ( I like this term) aren't fighting for a new bill right now is due to the financial turmoil and the uncertainty they face.

If we can silence the knuckleheads and the turncoats and build a multi-ethnic political coalition as Obama did, we can get this accomplished. But it's going to take time and many well versed spokespeople who know how to smash Woke and CRT accusations to bits.

@Stefan, the fact that I feel AfroAmericans' should be able to vote by birthright is considered a complaint.  I'm not buying it.😁

There are several reasons AfroAmericans aren't fighting for anything:

1) devoid of leadership.  As a group of people, we are rudder-less.

2) The smartest AfroAmericans have bought into the lure of the American Dream. No fight in them.

3) afraid of the consequences

Fear is powerful.  AfroAmericans will remain in a holding pattern until its Black men stand up and let them hang.😎

This is a website for writers ....

Your proposal requires writers ...

You are a writer ...

We are writers ...

Everyone here is a talented contributing writer.

Most are capable speakers.

Few know how to work a crowd.

One or Two have the workings for media contained communication.

Everything about politics is bullshit.

However, what you have proposed, intentionally, or not, is a takeover.

I'm in. ...

So. It's your plan. Let's do it then.

Write up who the knuckle heads are, and how it is best to take them down.

Who the turncoats are, and how to silence them.

Without their interference the multi ethnic coalition you want will almost fall into the waiting lap of the instigator who originates and carries out this plan.

Smashing is fun. Lets do this.

For those unaccustomed to a fight be warned. There will be targeted reprisals and serious fallout. With blow-back that will require a safety belt being worn to stop you from being catapulted.

All cards are on the table.

Who's in?

@Rodney campbell

This is not a Website for writers. It is a discussion group.

You are not a writer. And you will never be one unless you take a basic writing course. You need to learn how to create a two or three sentence introduction and then separate whatever you're thinking of at the moment into paragraphs.

Stop addressing me with your comments. I don't read them. Reading your sentences is tedious and nothing is gained.

@ProfD

Actually, the smart people in the Black Community with a heart do not think about becoming rich. Only the selfish and greedy do.

So, I disagree with you. There are thousands of Black people who are compassionate and want to better the lives of Black people across the country. You'll find them volunteering with the homeless, with the jobless, with the depressed or formerly incarcerated. If they are professionals, they may opt to offer legal, financial or business advice. If they are good at making meals, they bring food to community gatherings. If they are good public speakers, they do that.

I abhor those who poke fun at the struggling or have made a misstep or two.

It's not how many times you fall down that God looks at. It's how many times you get up.

Interesting quote because in another thread you considered DC Mayor for LIfe Marion Barry a Black embarrassment.

As I mentioned in that thread, Mayor Barry enriched the lives of several hundred thousand through his programs and initiatives.

No doubt, there are a countless number of Black people doing extraordinary things in their communities to help others.

In terms of Black leadership, we haven't had significant voices since the assassinations of Malcolm X and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

The honorable minister Louis Farrakhan and the Million Man March was the last significant movement.  That was 28 years ago.😎
