They thought he was just going to go after "those people", not THEM.
 

They're also puzzled as to why they voted for him thinking that the price for gas and other products were going to go down but since he's been in office they're steadily rising and with the tariff threats....set to rise even more.

It's no secret that a whole lot of ignorant people voted against their own self-interest. They  FAFO (F8ck Around Found Out).

I believe 1st time in office POTUS OJ didn't fully 1) know the whole game and 2) have his own hand-selected people in place.

To be honest, I don't think Trump believed he was actually going to get elected back in 2016.
I think he was running as a joke and to generate some extra cash, and fucked around and gained a following that was too big to dismiss or disappoint.
He simply wasn't prepared and those who wanted to push the policies that he's pushing NOW...wasn't prepared back then.
They didn't think he had much of a chance.

But now..........

It's like that female that was all over you and dropped all kinds of hints that you didn't pick up on, and yall ended up parting ways BEFORE you realized it.

I heard from a young black female Trump supporter whom i had argued  off and on with on FaceBook. She proceeded to play the victim, carping about how she had been ostracized and dismissed  for believing that Trump was a better choice for Blacks, who were so ignorant when it came to how much better the Republicsn party was for upwardly mobile African Americans like her. She believed Trump was off to a good start and that it was just a matter of time before America would be great again. She said a lot of things that Blacks have been saying for years about why they couldn't get ahead but she seemed totally unaware that all of her claims  were common.knowledge and none of her ideas were original. My over all impression of her has always been that she's a wanna be white person, what used to be referred to as an oreo.  I blew her off cuz she not a member of my unique  tribe...

They are there but now many of them are beyond belief because Trump just decided to lift the segregation ban on federal contractors.
