Hours after making an appearance and speaking a few words at the Vatican, Pope Francis passed away.

 

Pope Francis was 88 years old. He served in that role for 12 years. I remember when he was selected. Time flies.

 

By most accounts, Pope Francis was one of the most personable and open-minded leaders of the Catholic church. He didn't live in the typical Vatican residence. Preferred to stay in an apartment on the premises. He will go down in history as a great one.

 

Obviously, Pope Francis has to be laid to rest. The College of Cardinals will go into a conclave to select the next Pope.

 

It will be interesting to see who ascends to the papacy this time around. No shortage of candidates.😎

I read both articles. The Euronews site seems completely unreputable based upon the types of ads it served alone, but seemed to be the best coverage even stating that scholar question the validity of the document.

 

The second website came across more serious (no ads at all), but article didn't even question the prophesy.

 

History tells us there has never been any shortage of end of the world predictions.

 

We do know the world will end, at some point.  The best estimates are that this is a few billion years from now.

I stopped believing in dates after 2012....lol.
Really, I told myself I would stop after 2000 after all of the predictions about the world ending before the year 2000 failed.
But since the 2012 prediction supposedly had came from the ancient Mayans...I held out for that one, lol.

However the Covid 19 Pandemic came close to ending the world as we know it today.

People I talked to even in their 80s said they hadn't seen the world shutting down and that much fear and panic before in society like the Covid Pandemic produced.

We all remember 9/11 and it changed a lot....but even IT didn't affect America and much less the world like Covid.

A skyscraper MUST support its own weight throughout its height. What I found funny was that all of the architects were more interested in discussing how much money the architectural firm was making than the building. The joke at IIT was "Architects study funny Physics and funny Math". The decisions for the thicknesses of columns and girders would be made by structural engineers not architects. And then the physics of the collapse time would bring in Physicists.

 

But I do not recall any EXPERTS bringing up the Conservation of Momentum in relation to the problem.

 

So the paradigm shift of most people accepting that airliners doing that is flat out impossible would mean what?

I have seen another video about THAT building. My interest in a proper analysis of the destruction of the Twin Towers is not a quixotic thing 

 

That video is 4 years old and it has been a while since I saw it, but my memory works reasonably well. I went looking for it because I thought it said a woman discovered the problem.

 

So it is curious how so much information cannot be trusted. Which one is correct?

It wasn’t the airplanes that took the towers down. It was the jet engine fuel.

 

I haven’t seen a detailed video explaining the collapse of the world trade Center, Towers and I definitely did not read the report.

 

However, what you’re suggesting is that the towers were brought down deliberately, which is a conspiracy theory an absurd, one IMHO.

 

The conspiracy theory requires a lot more of an explanation than the official  report.

In Chicago the numbering system is a mile per 100. Some blocks are full size and some are smaller.

The buildings had to hold themselves up. Therefore the designers had to figure out how to distribute the steel and how much weight was where because of the concrete. 

 

Supposedly 34 tons of Jet Fuel affected an unspecified quantity of steel on LEVELS impacted by airliners. Conspiracies are Irrelevant. I am talking about analyzing PHYSICS which cannot be done without Data.

 

I do not care what people BELIEVE. I do find it curious that so many people object to having accurate data.

I spent 13 years in Catholic schools. I decided that I was an agnostic in 7th grade.

 

The picture of Cardinals that I posted is an excellent indication of how much I care about the Catholic Church.

 

I decided which Catholic high school to attend. I thought the straight D's I got in religion was very funny next to my straight A's in math, freshman year.

There's no incentive in getting to the bottom of the Twin Towers collapse. They have already built upon the old site.

What does "filled with fuel mean"?

 

The fuel capacity was 24,000 gallons.

Most sources say it had 10,000 gallons, 40% full, though some say 7,000.

This entire story is about lots of MASS falling down. MASS that was held up for 28 years. A single concrete floor slab was 600 tons and there were 87 of them. I know that off the top of my head.

Why not a simulation by now? Just raise the top 20 stories of the North Tower and drop them. 2 second fall, impact at 64 ft/sec or 43.6 mph.

 

But again that would require distribution of mass information not even mentioned by MIT. The nice thing about simulation is that it can be repeated with different parameters.
