Not sure if true but I've read that is how Black People survived the Stock Market Crash in 1929 They didn't just sell their labor, they sold goods too -and since they weren't allowed to Bank they had cash! But yes, trading needs to be back on the table. I don't mean bartering either but trading for goods and services like the stock exchange. People participate in the economy as holders of assets, not as employees. We definitely need to pivot! 37 minutes ago, ProfD said: As the late Biz Markie rapped in The Vapors..."sorry Mr. Lee but there's no help wanted." Here I AM

Oh, it’s not a rationalization it’s a realization. It is happening right before my eyes. I don’t think there’s much you and I can do about it. On it’s present trajectory AI will take over anything that humans can creatively produce. That includes this websites, Literature, music, art, movies… On 1/14/2026 at 11:41 AM, ProfD said: For example, a plumber or an electrician will always have a job. Well, it depends today people are looking at YouTube videos to do all kinds of home maintenance. The AI will just make it easier. Then there are AI powered robots, 60 minute show one working in the factory. On 1/14/2026 at 6:48 PM, Delano said: I have noticed that there is a lot AI clips on instagram. And almost every YouTube clip is moderated by an AI Hey man, have you seen the Richard Feynman AI videos. I guess they’re my feed because I watched that Feynman documentary a couple of times. I don’t like the videos because I can’t trust that he actually said the things he’s saying. I listened to one about 30 minutes and it was very interesting but still I can’t trust it. 10 hours ago, Mel Hopkins said: But why the heck would you continue down a path where it is weak? Because after spending so much time with it, I know that I can almost always get the answer I need. Sometimes it’s modifying the prompt or providing information that you don’t want it to forget. Again, I can give it a 500 word prompt with some pretty involved tasks and Gemini will respond brilliantly and sometimes I can give it a prompt. That’s just one sentence and it’ll make a mistake.

Whenever he spoke you could hear that he was the City. So when I heard the British accident I was done. I have to say it is getting harder to tell the difference.

This is why journalism is exceedingly important — paramount. If say, The New York Times publishes something an article, a video, a podcast you can take it for granted that they did there best to vet sources and tell the truth. But even this is in jeopardy Jeff Bezos owns the Washington Post, any prevented them from endorsing Kamala Harris, when you have multi billionaires controlling the editorial content of media, that poses a real danger in an AI world. On YouTube unless it’s a source that I trust I’m not watching the video.

The rich & powerful have been controlling the world for a long time now. AI will make it easier for the powerful people to control the masses: 1) constrict employment 2) control information 3) make humans useless Not selfishly but I'm glad I won't be subjected to the world as it will be in a decade or so. I'll be fine whichever way it goes but younger folks may not be as well off.
