March 14Mar 14 comment_80660 Any Africans or West Indians or AfroLatinos out there who have a desire to come in and sit down with their AfroAmerican family? As you can see @frankster.......... Nobody is stopping other Black people from the Diaspora from coming among us and dialoging and connecting....if that's what they WANT to do. This is a free forum. There's no charge to join it. Infact, a lot of Africans and West Indians are authors of books and this site would be a good place for them to promote their books. Who's holding them back? What has held them back? Report

Despite how loud & aggressive some talk especially among themselves, I find many of them to be a little shy & reserved around FBA/AfroAmericans until they feel comfortable. Those alliances will have to occur in pockets on common ground whether it's a job site, educational institution, nightclub or bedroom.🤣😎 Report
March 15Mar 15 Author comment_80686 ProfD I'm beginning to learn that there are certain characteristics that Black people have around the globe regardless of culture, religion, or nationality. One of them is the respect for strength and power. For many of our people, both American and African....you don't appeal to them through reasoning and intellect....you appeal to them through show of strength and how many "treats" you can offer them. In other words........ If you are a recent immigrant from Nigeria and I come to you as a regular AfroAmerican who works at Home Depot and say "Hey, welcome to America brother. Come on to my home or our group and lets dialogue" You may not respect that. You may be nice and smile and blow off the conversation or you may even boldly IGNORE me figuring I have nothing to offer. However if I'm the owner of a business or a high ranking official in the city or state and I let you know that. And tell you directly that when you come to America you WILL sit down with Black Americans and we'll give you the run down of how to act and what to say in this society if you want to continue to live here and be successful. You may have a different reaction. You know I have power and I have the ability to give some benefits. It's like a man using his position of power to get sexual favors from women. As "low down" and trifling as it may SOUND and as much as some people condemn it......it often WORKS...which is why it's so rampant and men have done it for millennia. I've known women who were pro-feminist and constantly complain about men being dogs who turned around and went on dates with cops to get out of traffic tickets and had sex with their supervisors to keep from getting fired. Not all women do this....obviously...but many do. My point? As much shit as people talk about what's "fair" and "unfair" and what's "right" and "not right"....most of them concede to power and authority if they think it will benefit them. Perhaps one of the biggest mistakes AfroAmericans have made in trying to connect with other Black people in the Diaspora is trying to appeal to them through "reasoning" and friendship based on shared history....instead of displaying our power and the benefits we have to offer as American citizens. Power & strength & violence are very real motivators. History proves it. The conditioning Black folks have received through propaganda & the system of racism white supremacy runs deep. IMO, peeling the layers of that onion & reprogramming Black folks to believe in their natural superiority will take a lot of time & effort. Right now, AfroAmericans do not have enough power to influence other Black folks to ride with us. The white stranglehold on their brains is more powerful.😎 Report

We just don't use it. There are plenty of Black people in positions of power from business owners to police officers to police chiefs to lawyers who have power and influence and can offer others benefits. They use their power....especially Black men....when it comes to securing sexual favors. They can just as easily used that power to make Asians, Latinos, and even Africans respect them when they come to this country. How many Black business owners and managers do you know who use their position to routinely flirt with their subordinates or give unqualified "baby girl" an easy job where she just sits on her ass and run her mouth on the phone at his business.....as long as she laughs at his jokes and let's him give her a hug or smooch from time to time, lol. "Alright team....listen up. This is gonna be yall new manager. Do what she tells you to do and don't give baby girl a hard time ....or you'll have to answer to ME. Got it? Go 'head baby girl. Talk to 'em." Report

Literally.🤣 I'm referring to FBA/AfroAmericans having the power to build strategic alliances with other groups of Black folks. The power of racism white supremacy is stronger.😎 Report

Neely Fuller Jr. taught us this. He reminded us that even the little racist in a minor role still PLAYS his role and DOES his part in promoting the ideology of "white supremacy". He may be an employee at the customer service desk at a grocery store....but he'll use his job to give the White customers a full refund and give the Black customers a hard time if they try to return something without a receipt. She may be a meter-maid for parking spaces....but she'll use her job to pass out as many parking tickets as she can to the Black drivers, lol. It may be small ball, but atleast you're PLAYING BALL...even if it's just in the minor leagues.....lol. Report

Using one's *power* to get s8xual favors is small ball & totally different from exercising a minor role in upholding & maintaining the system of racism white supremacy. NF Jr. had something to say about s8x & when & how it should be utilized too.😁😎 Report

However as much as he taught us about the tricks of the Racists and how they like to poison and experiment on our people, I still can't totally understand his reasoning for taking it. But alas....he is no longer with us. And it's not up to ME to understand what HE does with his own body and free will. I still respect him and the valuable lessons he taught us. Report

They had old people shook. During that time, NF Jr. must have been in that number. He wasn't too concerned about the tricks &/or *poison* white supremacists mandated. 😁😎 Report
