Bill at age 88, and Nichelle at age 89, were my contemporaries and trail blazers in their fields. We were young, middle-aged and old together.  I'm lucky to still be here, and I don't take tomorrow for granted.  RIP, my TV friends.  🥲🌹

    Two important figures in black American history. Bill Russell was a pioneer in American professional sports and Nichelle Nichols was a trail blazer for blacks in television. Both faced blatant racism and hostility for their chosen paths. Much respect for both stalwart individuals. RIP...
