CBS's Scott Pelley: "...part of a gang of crooked stupid people."
At this moment I’m watching on MSNOW Stevie Wonder who is about to bring down the house at the Obama Center opening ceremony closing with Jennifer Hudson, Common, John Legend, Bruce Springsteen. I’m not “studying “ CBS though what’s happening to it is disheartening. White folks getting down!

Degrees, But No Jobs: New Grads Celebrate While Facing Rising Unemployment
Reads like older Black graduates did not start enough companies i.e. build a ladder for successive generations to climb. This is what happens when Black folks have to depend on white folks for employment. The question is who else can Black folks claim for limited job opportunities. I'm wondering if there will be a point in time where white folks outright say..."we have carried you people long enough".🤣😎

Are Things Better Today Than 40 or 50 Years Ago?
@Phil Lamar I consult on issues related to this, but the fact that you reached out here, tells me that you probably reached out to other groups and that is a good an inexpensive way to get started. How did you find this site? Your book's metadata is much better on Amazon than it is in Ingram's database (which is what booksellers' reference). Who published your book and where did they or you publish it? I suspect Amazon KDP was used. I never heard of Wyatt Outaw, but it is also not realistic to expect someone from outside the region to know who he is. As you know there were just so many men lynched in America it is not possible for anyone to know them all. On top of the fact that much of this type of information is being actively suppressed today. I appreciate and commend you for sharing it here. Most of my ancestry is from North Carolina east you (Nash, Wake, Edgecomb). NC, despite its beauty is about as racist as they come. Your perspective on Wyatt Outlaw's story could be very interesting to me. You were a grown man in the Jim Crow south. You witnessed; and may have participated in racists acts. You very likely know someone who attended a lynching. You quite possibly know someone who owned slaves or were the children enslavers -- indeed you may even be one of these children. This is not ancient history, I know people whose grandparents were enslaved here in America. I say that all to say I don't want to read a book written a white man telling a Black family's story from the Black family's perspective. What I would want to read. possibly, is Outlaw's story form the white person's perspective. Which story are you telling?

Are Things Better Today Than 40 or 50 Years Ago?
Troy, Someone asked how old I am. I'm 83, white, from Alamance County, North Carolina. My goal is to celebrate the life of an enslaved man as an American hero. There's been a controversy here for years because Wyatt Outlaw (he was enslaved on the Outlaw farm) overcome tremendous odds to serve as town constable and town commissioner of Graham, the county seat. He also tried to establish a church and school there, was a talented woodworker, etc. For his reward he was lynched in the Graham town square (don't share that with potential readers). I wouldn't expect you to have heard of him because hardly anyone here had heard of him either until recently. That's what motivated me to write this novel. Town protests in 2022 brought to our attention that there's no marker for Wyatt, he's hardly mentioned in textbooks, etc. Yet in the courtyard where he was hanged there's a statue of a Confedererate soldier. Hardly anything is known about Wyatt's life except that he had three children and a strong mother who survived, his last two years as a town leader in Graham, and the way he died. My novel creates a life for him. It's historical fiction, so if I checked the nonfiction box it was an error done in haste. I wrote this novel because I see Wyatt as an American (not African American, but American) hero people should know about, but that white history wants to forget because of the way he died. My target audience was Black readers but I'm struggling to reach them. My white readers (so far mainly friends and family) tell me it affects them emotionally and makes them reconsider how they view race relations and bias in America. Personally, I believe the current government has turned back the clock and is fostering much of the diviseness in our country. I would love to have a private or semi-private forum conversation to learn anything you can provide to help me market my book. I really believe it has an important message to share.

I knew Foster Sylvers passed away a couple weeks ago. Moved on to something else before starting thread. Thanks @Troy . Foster Sylvers & his siblings produced a lot of music. Foster's song "Misdemeanor" has been been heavily sampled: Thanks for the music. RIP Mr. Foster Sylvers.😎

Dr. King Holiday. Promised. Land. ??????
My opinion is that religion and politics are too often used as a tool for manipulation to divide society and prevent people from uniting for real changes in life.

@Phil Lamar You are being coy 😉 According to your bio on Amazon, you have a Ph.D., so you're clearly smart. Judging by your photo you are firmly in the Boomer generation. I took the liberty of sharing more information about your book (BTW your book is fiction, but you gave it a nonfiction BSISAC code, "Family & Relationships | General" you should change this a fiction code, choose three) I presume you are from North Carolina (or at least the south). If so, I'd like to pose some questions about your book and background. The questions will be pointed. If you are up for this, I'll start another conversation and use the Q and A on the site. let me know what you think.

Foster Sylvers died on May 30 at the age of 64
I just discovered this by accident. I went to YouTube to look for something this morning got distracted by the algorithm, forgot what I went to YouTube for, and ended up watching video of the Silver Family on the Groucho Marx You Bet Your Life show. I was curious about the age of Foster (thinking he might be about my age) an learned he died a couple of weeks ago! He is about 6 weeks older than I am and wasn't born when the family appears on Marx's show.

Iran May Be Getting US Money to Rebuild
One possible line item in the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the US & Iran is $300 billion dollar to rebuild Iran's infrastructure destroyed during Operation Epic Fury. That's $300 billion dollars on top of the money spent blowing up sh8t over there. Then, the US military wants $1 trillion to build more defense systems. Yet, several months ago, the US government claimed it had to cut SNAP benefits & jack up health insurance costs. Gas & food prices are going up as a result of the pointless conflicts. The American people have to decide when they have had enough of this BS.😎

I'm waiting for this chess move to win out. I don't believe it will. As controlled opposition, I think Democrats purposefully allow Republicans to run over them. Both parties are in agreement when it comes to maintaining the system of racism white supremacy. POTUS OJ is further enriching other people too. That's why Congress isn't willing to challenge him or get in his way.😎

Are Things Better Today Than 40 or 50 Years Ago?
Phil Lamar Forgive me, I should have said I'm an OLD white man, whose lived through a lot, seen a lot of unfairness in our country, still believe it's the best country, but frankly scared. When you say "old"....exactly how old? Nearly everybody who participates on this site is over 50, so you're not dealing with spring chickens....lol. Trump and his followers are bringing back the racial unfairness, worship of the wealthy class, antagonism for anyone who's different, etc., with a vengeance. What bothers me the most about what's happening in our country is that most people (I say white people because that's what I know best) are silent, standing by while the country goes to hell or disappears completely. Perhaps because THEY...his supporters...don't see those things you mentioned as "bad". They may share the exact same observations as YOU do about the racial unfairness and worship of the wealthy but don't think they are bad but actually support and encourage them. And honestly, I'm trying to promote my new novel, The Short Happy Life of Wyatt Outlaw among AA readers. So far, almost almost all my readers are white, and they tell me they cry at the inhumanity of slavery and the tragic story about a heroic Black man who was murdered because he was "uppity." I have a couple questions..... Is "Wyatt Outlaw" the name of the protagonist in the novel? If so, why did you choose the name "outlaw" for him? I say bring them on, come on ladies, because the real "hero" of my novel is Wyatt's mother, who holds the family together and survives to send Wyatt's young children into the future. Wyatt has children. Without divulging too much of your novel....lol....does Wyatt have a wife?

When Black Democrats and Liberals TRY to or start in on him, the White Liberals/Democrats silence them and condemn them and advice them to "take the high road". Even my girl Michelle Obama is guilt of this shit to a certain degree. She started that "when they go low we go high" mess and that failed strategy hasn't stopped these devils from going lower and lower on their insults and smears. Fighting back actually works. If Black people actually DID bust back at the right wing for insulting the Obamas calling them apes and monkeys and questioning Michelle's femininity....they'd probably stop and find something else to do. But like I said, the White "allies" like Bill Maher and the like are the ones who criticize Republican policy in one breath then turn around and enjoy cocktails with them and invite them on his show, the next.

What is the best source of Black Journalism?
ProfD Believe it or not, I share some of Cynique's views when comparing Jews with Arabs on their treatment of Black people. Not just AfroAmericans but Black people world wide. I grew up in the Detroit area which has both a large Jewish and large Arab population and most Black people will tell you that when Jews owned and operated stores in the ghetto they treated Black people much better and with much more respect than the Arabs. Globally, from my limited observations it seems as if Blacks in Israel live better and have more financial opportunities under Jewish governance than they do in most Arab countries. Again, this is looking at things from an outsiders point of view so I could be wrong. . Brotha Malcolm X mentioned that it was not a good idea to allow white folks fo join Black organizations & movements. Malcolm was a smart and wise man. Most of the time White folks only join these organizations so that they can INFILTRATE them and either steer them in a particular direction or act as spies to funnel information to their racists comrades who work for the other side. 2 good examples of this is how Colin Kaepernick was influenced by a White man to protest by "taking a knee" instead of walking out and how White people who infiltrated the Black Lives Matter movement changed the atmosphere from rioting and confrontation to walking around with your hands in the air chanting "hands up don't shoot". Making a pretty much neutered, docile, and powerless protest. He provided an excellent analogy when he said strong Black coffee keeps you alert but when you start adding milk to it.....it puts you to sleep, lol. Jews have further enriched themselves using Black talent & labor especially the entertainment industry. Facts. They've also done this with their gentile brethren. The Nation of Islam teaches that the Jews are actually the leaders or "brains" of White civilization. Baby might have to go ahead and do it by himself. It's going to take YOU all night and half the next morning to get out of them tight ass pants....lol

Being Rich in America Makes you special......You can literally change Laws - think about that. Trump is exceptional in that he is the Richest President ever so far......that counts for a lot - he can and will get away with things other Presidents can only dream of... Bloomberg got a third term as mayor of NY......because he was rich - my opinion.

What is the best source of Black Journalism?
You're right. Religious leaders, intellectuals & philosophers seem to occupy the same lane in pointing out the problems/issues & telling people what they need to do whether it is 1) meeting the sky fairy, 2) getting into heaven &/or 3) coping with the system of racism white supremacy. Rarely do these people offer a plan of action & milestones (POAM) providing Black folks with a blueprint in overcoming the system of racism white supremacy. The late Neely Fuller Jr. has come the closest to providing an actionable item in writing The United Independent Compensatory Code/System/Concept book. IMO, beyond their part in the civil rights movement, the NAACP has not done much to help Black folks. After the real Black leaders were assassinated in the late 1960s, the NAACP has collected monies & handed out a few scholarships. Otherwise, I don't see the fruit of the NAACP existence. They remind me of Black fraternities & sororities. Social clubs.😁 The Black folks who marched & died for Civil Rights did the most to help to Black folks. Getting legislation passed for civil & voting rights & Affirmative Action benefitted many Black folks. Unfortunately, their efforts helped other people of color & white women too. Right. AfroAmericans should not be looking for friends &/or allies among other groups of people. Build strategic alliances based on shared interests. Correct. But, the system of racism white supremacy can be toppled like every other empire. True. That is one of the petty aspects of our existence & a thorn in our proverbial side. Definitely makes it more challenging to get more meaningful things done. Black folks definitely need to resolve the petty differences among us if we are ever going to overthrow the system of racism white supremacy. As I mentioned before, you have reached that age in life where racism white supremacy is no longer of concern.🤗 The current situation will not alter &/or make a difference in your life whatsoever. It is really up to the future generations of Black folks to either maintain the status quo or do something to gain more power & control over their existence. That should not stop my generation from planting seeds to encourage &/or enable future generations to overthrow the system of racism white supremacy. Otherwise, the white-washing of history & reinforcing the system of racism of white supremacy will further normalize it. At least until a catastrophic event or natural disaster occurs.😎

What is the best source of Black Journalism?
@ProfD: What has Farrakhan done for the over-all black population? He and I are the same age and I've never known him to do anything for anybody but his bean pie brigade. For as long as I can remember, he has lived a life of leisure in a big mansion on Chicago's south side, emerging once a year to regurgitate his marathon Founder's day tirade. Even his Black Man March never developed into anything permanent. He's currently being kept alive by team of Jewish doctors who he praises in private. People like him and Thomas Sowell, Cornel West, and the late Neely Fuller have never done anything but sit around critizing Blacks, telling them what they need to do. As I say, Jews, who were among the founders of the NAACP, don't need me to defend them. Bottom line is, just WHO is it black Americans can point to as having helped them? Even Africans snub them. Obviously they need to just get on with their lives adopting the each one, teach one approach. White supremacy exists because it perpetuates itself and wards off all challengers. It is, what it is. Blacks folks are too busy chasing their tails, competing in the "blacker than thou" contests, trying to dictate to each other what constitutes authentic blackness. At my age, staying under the radar, is easy. Nobody cares what old people think. And, for me, the feeling is mutual! C'mon, baby, let's do our thing

What is the best source of Black Journalism?
Sure. Black folks have taken advantage of Jew charities & employment opportunitites. Nobody should be able to dictate who one h8tes. IMO, Minister Farrakhan highlighted how Jews fuel & benefit from the system of racism white supremacy. No doubt...white folks have been persecuting each other for thousands of years. Yet, chattel slavery was uniquely different from serfdom. Serfs & indentured servants were treated far more humanely than Black slaves. To enslave people for 400 years & build wealth upon it leading up to a system of racism white supremacy is next level. Also, Jews were in the USA when chattel slavery was booming. They were not standing with Black folks to end it. The Jews do not reference the thousands of years of persecution. The holocaust is their primary sympathy card. To be clear, I have nothing against Jews or anyone else. I h8te the system of racism of white supremacy.😎

What is the best source of Black Journalism?
Blacks did and do take advantage of philanthropic grants rich Jews like Julius Rosenwald set up. Jews don't need me to "defend" them but I give credit where credit is due and don't let other people like the venomous Farakhan dictate who I should hate. Jewish persecution dates back to biblical times, btw.

What is the best source of Black Journalism?
Arabs still haven't killed nearly as many people as white folks have through wars. Muslim women don't appear to be fleeing the Middle Eadt en masse as a result of their treatment. The Quran/Koran does not condone killing people for no reason. It does permit killing for self-defense, resisting oppression & legal justice. I'm not a Muslim nor do I sympathize with them. Still, I find it interesting how the west demonizes islam through propaganda & its proxies. Chattel slavery was far more brutal & lasted for centuries. The holocaust was a few years & 6 million unalived. Jews were paid for their pain & suffering. The state of Israel receives billions or dollars every year into perpetuity. Black folks are still waiting for reparations. Brotha Malcolm X mentioned that it was not a good idea to allow white folks fo join Black organizations & movements. Jews were able to walk away from the Civil Rights movement without any lasting effects from the exercise. No group is perfect nor is perfection required to do business. Strategic alliances should be built on shared interests & for mutual benefit to all parties involved. Jews have further enriched themselves using Black talent & labor especially the entertainment industry. I don't see any wealthy Black institutions &/or infrastructure that sprung up as the result of a Black-Jew alliance.😎

It makes zero sense that POTUS Obama left the White House a decade ago & the current administration still keeps his name in their mouths. The Democrats aren't raking POTUS OJ over the coals for being married to a prostitute & talking sh8t sbout POTUS Obama. There's no shortage of source material in what POTUS OJ has said & does that is ripe to rip his azz. Yet, nobody does it. Gangsta.😎
