  2. These protests are apparently inspired by the college student demonstrations of the 1960s. But, to me, they somehow have a false ring to them. Some participants are too overwrought, taking themselves too seriously, actually believing they will win people over by blocking traffic and parading around with signs while injecting the unrelated issue of free speech into their action in order to ennoble themselves. White kids finding a cause to embrace that will make them feel good about themselves. Glad black students have refrained from joining in. It is a tragic situation, taking a toll on innocent lives but there are no good guys in the equation; Just fanaticism gone amok, - reeking with religious overtones.
  3. What is a black American example of "self-inflicting jocular ni**erization fetish"? Something right wing Conservative Republicans would consider authentic?
  4. I took the picture of me and my suster-in-law down because it intrudes on her privacy and she didn't give me permission to post it.
  5. @ProfDThe lens you and nels view this subject from is a blurred one, as far as I'm concerned. It's like you regard black voters as non partisan Indepenðents, standing around trying to make up their minds about who to vote for. It doesn't seem to occur to you that black people vote for Democrats because they ARE Democrats. That is the party most of them belong to, the party where at the local levels, average blacks see people who look like them running the show, the Mayors and Aldermen and Police Chiefs and County and State Officials and powerful Machine bosses, - who are usually Democrats, and they feel at home. The reason they by pass Republicans is because they don't identify with them. To say that the Democratic Party woos black voters is like saying a husband courts his wife. But you conveniently choose to discredit all of this as being about individuals rather than race. And this is where you expose how naive you are. You confuse politics with altruism. Unfortunately, politics is not about selfless charity and serving the needs of the great unwashed masses and the have-nots and the opressed minorities. It's about wheeling and dealing, about perfecting "the art of the possible" . And, of course, about power corrupting. Get real. If the government isnt showerkng Blacks with a abundance of blessings, then take that up with da Lawd. Not the Democratic party where Blacks reside in great numbers. Jesus done failed y'all.

  7. Black folks know the KKK is filled with racists. No need to seek a membership there. Democrats have brainwashed Black folks in believing there is some good among them despite the racists hiding in plain sight. One party would love to roll America back 100+ years. The other party governs through benign neglect. Either way, Black folks come up short. So, I see US political parties as two sides of the same coin. No difference in color. Not even the Red and Blue.
  8. 50+ years of political brainwashing and programming.
  9. "Africa and Latin America countries should be recolonized by US" - Well, considering that many sub-Saharan black African-governed countries are literally destroying themselves from within, perhaps that might not be such a bad idea, after all.
  10. Knowing this, then why does black America continue to irrationally support the Democrats and their anti-American ilk such as Chuck Schumer, Jamie Raskin, Ron Klain, Andrew Weismann, Bob Iger, Steven Spielberg, etc.?
  11. Well, when black America stops promoting its self-inflicting jocular ni**erization fetish, then perhaps it might be in a better position to complain.
  12. Really? Keeping this conversation unabrasive, it would be interesting to know how you came up with that one. Racists exist everywhere, but it seems like only black American is fixated on it via the gaslighting a$$-whipping that it continues to receive from the Democrat Party that it religiously votes for every four years. How convenient.
  13. Join me Saturday, May 4, 2024 from 12:00pm to 3:00pm at Medu Bookstore in Greenbriar Mall, Atlanta, GA, as I sign copies of my latest short story collection, Muscadine Wine. Muscadine Wine is a collection of fantasy and contemporary fiction stories set in Southwest Georgia, a personal homage to the land and Black people of South Georgia.
  14. In the US, they use gentrification to displace folks. Other parts of the world seem to be less subtle about it. Right. It always depends on who is talking. They place gag orders on former POTUS Orange Julius and threaten him with contempt of court. He still holds press conferences and talks anyway. No punishment. Right. Watch their hands. Follow the money.
  15. Thankfully, Black organizations have remained fairly neutral on this situation.
  16. honestly, I’m really not paying that much attention however, I was not aware that Israel was trying to claim Gaza. I walked by the campus recently. It was locked down. People had to show IDs to enter the grounds where normally is completely open to the public. The sign said that was due to an event… @ProfD similarly the house in the Senate quickly garnered by partisan support to ban TikTok or at least get China to sell it. some argue that this too is a free speech issue. Speech has never been free or protected by the government that has always been a pretense. if they don’t like what you’re saying, they figure out how to shut you down. Let some young black man try mouthing off to white trooper here in the south. Let’s see how far free speech gets them. All the recent book banning should tell you something about hire we feel about free speech. Whatever the government is doing their motivation, I’m sure, is to protect interests the ultra-rich both abroad and domestically.
  17. @Chevdove, people do stupid things things over the world every single day. We don’t need to know about any of of, for it is of little consequence. The problem with sharing this stuff is it leads people to draw faulty conclusions about the entire group as if those idiots are representative of the entire group of Jews. it is no different than the media’s bias to black dysfunction and how white peoples think all black people must be like that. @ProfD I don’t have a problem with Black individuals picking a side. Have any black organizations picked a side?
  18. It's crazy that they want AfroAmericans to pick a side. Yet, AfroAmericans cannot solve their own problems here in America. Besides, they assassinated the most popular and vocal AfroAmerican leaders 50+ years ago.
  19. On cue and in the wake of protests sweeping across college campuses, the US government is looking to bolster H.R.6090 - Antisemitism Awareness Act of 2023. This legislation was introduced shortly after the October 7th attack on Israel. It is being expanded to infringe on freedom of speech when it comes to Jews. When they actually feel like working, Congress can quickly create bills with bipartisan support and pass them too.
  20. This was too funny! LOL WHEW! I don't believe I've ever heard of Roy Woods Jr. I don't how he managed to navigate that! He's got substance.
  21. This is painfully true. Divide and conquer tactics, i suppose. Well even though it may seem like it was stupid and should be downplayed, no, I am glad that Africa diaspora got it though. it may seem alright for others to be racist, but for those students to do this against those precious little African boys is unacceptable. hopefully the White Jews will think about this then, and clamp down on their racism against Black Africa because that is just crazy to allow divide and conquer tactics to occur. Blacks and Jews should know better than to allow this. Yes! Clearly it is violent. And i too do not understand the details. But sometimes, I feel like leaders are trying to get AfroAmerican to be involved in it.
  22. True! lol WOW! @aka Contrarian Amazing photo! I can't believe the other lady is 93. My aunt is 91 and she showed up at a gathering and look like she belonged in a fashion show. GIRL! You look stunning. Yes, still love Carol Burnette.
  23. Absolutely. Diet and remaining active on some level (exercise) seems to help too. @aka Contrarian, you and your sister-in-law look great at 90+ years old. I see you all are smiling like two people who no longer have to work and get to enjoy a pension too.
