(Reading Enriches All Children). The event will also spotlight and feature over 40 local and surrounding cities Indie Authors from all genres of literature. The event is destined to draw huge crowds of book lovers from Hampton Roads and beyond. This year’s recipient of sponsorship funds is REACH, Inc. REACH, Inc. is a volunteer organization that promotes literacy for children who are at-risk and homeless throughout Coastal Virginia. Through their programs, advocates/volunteers spend time with children in both the community and shelters reading and providing a support activity. REACH programming now serves eleven area homeless and domestic violence family shelters and 45 community partners/initiatives! The goal is to raise funds so they may purchase 20,000 books. Event Details: The Hampton Roads Indie Author Book Festival provides a platform for local Indie Authors to showcase their works of literacy from all genres to the Hampton Roads Area community.
