I don't know much about the group.
Like the Panthers they were influenced heavily by the Nation of Islam and Malik Shabazz (Malcolm X) and you can hear it in much of their platform.
I grew up hearing about them from some older people and saw a few members speak around town but they were so small they didn't have much of an impact on the city let alone the nation. Atleast not during the 80s and beyond when I was old enough to observe my environment.
As far as the elder speaking in the video, he makes some good points.
Obviously I don't agree with him being against calling ourselves "AfroAmericans" because it's a term I use quite often, but many of his points and ideas are good.
