  1. According to reports this comet was seen this past January 2023 but now it is closest to our earth beginning October 13 and can be seen until October 19, 2024. Some report that it will be as big as the planet Jupiter! It is located low on the horizon in the western sky and can be seen after sunset. It is good still though, to have binoculars. Could this comet have something to do with the recent hurricane Helene and hurricane Milton!? While I believe in climate change, however, I also believe that certain celestial objects do have a part of this climate change too. Oh yes, there is also suppose to be another major comet that showed up near earth too, however, it is still not of a certainty that it will continue its path near the sun yet.
  2. Not abortion. Birth control. Abstinence. We need to make the punishment for rape so severe on the perpetrators to discourage it. The village needs to do a better job in taking care of children especially those who come from unfortunate circumstances. Dark-skinned Black girls should not be treated differently. Planned parenthood isn't just abortions. They hand out birth control too. What are we doing to correct that level of dysfunction? My gender doesn't prevent me from understanding your argument. My point is that nobody's forcing people to have s8x and other behaviors and create these dysfunctional situations. When a Black man robs a bank or kills someone, the law isn’t going to consider slavery or his race or upbringing when it comes to putting him in prison. Just consider what I mentioned about personal responsibility and accountability. We seem to conveniently pick and choose when to be obedient and restrained in our actions. Again, that's something we can correct as a village. We can do a better job of instilling morals and values and disciplining those who get out of line. The real problem is that nobody wants to lead the effort. Part of the reason is resistance from our people.😎
  3. Annually, hurricane season in Florida is from June 1st through November. IMO, the comet would be a coincidence. Not a cause for the hurricanes.😎
  4. Was anyone lucky enough to see the northern lights? Due to increase solar activity the aurora borealis could be seen as far as south as New York.
  5. @Troy @ProfDI tend to agree. Obama telling black men they shouldn't vote for Trump will certainly make many of them more determined than ever to do so because you can't shame them into supporting a woman of color. Furthermore, black men have never been over-enthusiastic about Obama because they didn't think he did enough for Blacks when he was in office. His influence is not that strong. Then, there's people like Oprah Winfrey. She long ago alienated black men by turning sistas against brothas who were exploiting them, and they've never forgiven her for this. So her support of Kamala is not a vote-getter Sunny Hoskins, a mixed-race panelist on the popular TV show "The View" confidently claiming that black men will not have a problem voting for Kamala because they come from a matriarchal culture was another misstep, in my opinion. Too presumptuous. I fear these tactical errors will come back to haunt Kamala's campaign. They bring out the obstinacy in those black men who don't like being preached to or treated in a condescending manner. Hispanic men are also reported to be reluctant to support Kamala because they simply tend to dismiss women as leaders. Ditto average white males. This situation is further exacerbated by racism. The Dems have made several moves which I think they should've known better than to do. And this includes running someone for POTUS who sparks too much controversy! Finally, I am very nervous about whether Americans will choose intellect over ignorance. They tend to be more concerned about gas prices than knowledgeable leadership. Nevertheless, Blacks may very well determine the outcome of this election and if Trump wins, any future hope of black unity will dissipate.
  6. i find it disturbing that no other group of men is being chastised into voting for a particular candidate. Nobody is telling [insert race/ethnicity here] men for whom they should cast their vote. For some reason, Democrats are imploring Black folks to vote for them. Interestingly, Democrats aren't offering Black folks anything in return for their vote. The insults and fear-mongering of Orange Julius returning to the White House and Project 2025 aren't going to work on some Black voters this time around.😎
