Racial classifications by skin color were codified back in the 1600s. Religion is a belief system. Marriage is literally a contract between two parties. Sure, but as the trend continued and things got much worse for us. Science is Tyson's "religion" and he is a zealot. So, there are ideas he will never accept. As with any religious zealot anyone that does not but into the religion is a heretic burned at the stake or at the very least lambasted on a podcast.
