  1. @Pioneer1 the only way any athlete can quit while on top is to retire after winning the biggest trophy in their sport. I trust lebron like most athletes knows their body, trust me, all athletes know what they can or can not do physically. what point? that is up to the player and what they want. Lebron has the right to keep playing for ten more years and be a bench player for most of that if he wants. LEbron has the right to stop right now and not play one game for the sixers. the good thing about team sports is it allows late 30s or 40s players to play and still have great success as the whole team is the key, not one player The issue here is you feel players should stop at a point that satifies your view. But my position is, players should stop whenever they want to. I know athletes who have played on top teams and gone to play in lower divisions or in various leagues around the world. Tiger woods is still playing, it is up to players. I don't care when they stop.
