The word "RACISM" has a couple of different meanings

which is why I asked OP if she meant INSTITUTIONAL

RACISM, but she seems to be hung up on something

    else.

I get your point. I was simply looking at the power game that comes from definition and redefining. Yes we need to know which one we are using and clarify when we change reference points.

The United States still recognizes the United Kingdom, France, Germany and Canada as primary allies in maintaining its power over the planet. All of those countries have one thing in common. 😎

Elephants 🐘 often don’t impact the day to day lives of Ants 🐜. I say this because we can look at the macro level and micro level and different power dynamics.

And THESE are the folks who have the nerve to criticize Democrats? In favor of who? Racist and bullying Republicans such as Trump?

    That’s hilarious 😂.

    Daniellegfny,

Responding to you is so tiresome. Because you do not write. You just post quotes.

    My post stands.

What you talking about Willis? 🤣

Race is a very complex issue

It really isn’t. We make distinctions to accommodate our desires.

IMO, when social-diving authors make these kinds of comments, they tend to bend the mind to conform to their subversion of the sculptor's true intent. If you flip the script, the very muscular Native and African could actually be there to buttress, secure and protect Theodore Roosevelt, who without their flanking, would not stand any chance of survival or success, at a minimum

I agree. It sums of the schizophrenic nature of how race plays in the minds of people especially her in America. I believe it’s touched upon in Post Traumatic Slavery Syndrome that came out in the 80s.

I never mention anti white. I dont know why you brought that up but let me make this clear, I never said anything about being anti white or hatred

That’s more troubling because it means you’re not fully understanding what you are saying. Why does it matter if you marry a Black, White, Yellow or Red person? What is it that disturbs you? Racism? Who’s experience at you considering yours or the couples? Who’s feelings and relationships are more important? Society’s or the Couple? Are these Shocked parents leaving massive estates?

That so many Blacks refuse Covid vaccines and decline to wear facemasks seems more worrisome for me.

You had to insert Covid Paranoia in the conversation which is way off topic. Just like the question of crime in communities is not the topic of this thread.

FIRST OFF, I DON'T NEED TO BE TOLD WTF RACISM/RACIST MEANS.

AND SECOND, YOU NEED TO SEE A DICTIONARY!

LET ME HELP YOU OUT WITH THAT:

While a dictionary is a good start for common point of view, it is not a commandment or unable to be modified.

We don't know whether those Africans ever saw

a white person before or if they had any reason

to be suspicious of their intentions.

Black people have seen White people since at least the time of Ancient Egypt.

I'm surprised it took this long...I mean look at it!

an african and native american at his feet helping him along on a horse?!

Actually I was born in NJ and I work in NY. The statue didn’t offend. It actually captured the essence that Roosevelt just wasn’t a white figure. It’s because out society has advanced so much that people are easy to be offended and not realize how bad conditions were at the time Roosevelt lived.

The questions could be. “Why was the Black man and Red man included?” “What message was the sculptor trying to portray?”

Attention should be paid to the fact that in addition to removing that which can be seen as symbols of white supremacy, they're also whitewashing history books too.

I concur. Which makes people parrot Sidney Poiter was the first Black America to win an Oscar, when it was Hattie McDaniels for her role in Gone With The Wind.

Teaching your black child about racism will.

Teaching your child to be a Racist may. Individuals who understand the fallacious argument of racism will allow them to marry whom ever the please. The argument you are making supports discrimination and irrational hatred.

Racism has nothing to do with hate. Its not based on feelings but what people do

What people do is sparked by what they feel. Emotions - Experiences - Interpretation.

guess you also concede the point about Americas uniqueness in exploring its “peculiar institution.”

You did read my reply that slavery was a global phenomenon not just a United State institution. The fact that earlier Americans called it peculiar meant it was not normal.

@Troycan you prove you are 100% ADOS?

You keep mentioning “third world,” but what does that mean? Is Mexico, in the third world, why? Is Ghana in the third world and if so what does that really mean? Who defined the term and why?

Again, if you’d actually been to any of these places you’d realize that all of the opportunities that you have ascribe to people here in the US are true for people in the countries I mentioned.

Now we can argue about whether those opportunities are more easily achieved in America versus the  countries I mentioned, but to disparage the medical service available in Africa to ”witch doctors” is insulting (even if you were being hyperbolic to make a point).

The question is do you know what makes America unique?

However, a white woman would not have been interrogated the same way *if* she had a fever of 101 or higher leading to sepsis and a 9 day hospital stay.

That @Mzuriis the essence of the difference in treatment. They treated her like a drug addict and with a greater level of skepticism than if she had been White. I saw a video about a black dr who died because they didn’t take the woman at her word.

Everything isn’t about race, however being open to the possibility that it is merits follow. @ProfDI think the fact that she wasn’t trying to make her video a hollywood production lends to the credibility.

I would think a talk with some AZ Civil Rights Groups would be in order.

also think you should raise your price,

the current price makes it seem like the

    book doesn't have much value

The price was the Pre-release price for the EBook. The price has been adjusted upward now and the paperback is $15.99. Thank you for your feedback.
