He WROTE for one of the greatest....the man himself...Richard "hold on muthafu--" Pryor!

I loved his commentary but I personally thought he was too serious or angry to be very funny.
I got the sense of a slight bit of RAGE being suppressed in his jokes.
He wasn't just a some fool or clown that got up saying random shit like Kevin Hart.  You could tell that real THOUGHT went behind his work.

Did you see his brief appearance in Spike Lee's "Bamboozled" movie?

I found THAT impressive because as much as I like him, I kind of took him as a "feminine" type of man in his demeanor.  But when he played that role in Bamboozled he was straight-masculine all the way.

Yessir. Mooney was the man behind the legend. He seemingly had no problem with playing his position.

Mooney's stand-up delivery did seem to have an edge of rage but his ability to turn his observations into comedic source material was brilliant. He made people think and laugh.

I have no proof whatsoever but I suspect that brotha Mooney may have been a closet member of the alphabet soup community who was old skool with it. Nonetheless, he was one of my favorite comedians.😎

  2. Politicians aren't enriching black folks because we don't have enough of an economic infrastructure in place to take advantage of government contracts, small business loans, subsidies, tax breaks,  etc.

Otherwise and unfortunately,  it looks like the primary way  black folks get a windfall of cash is by accident (killed, injured, discrimination, etc.) or by luck

    ...hitting the lottery. 😎

  3. Pioneer, I'm not in disagreement with a benevolent dictatorship. That's how most countries operate. But, it only works when there is no racism.

On the planet, I would say that 80% of the work most people do is physical to some degree. About 20% of the workforce sits behind a desk and about 10% of them have their feet up on it.😁

China only became the modern day plantation because it's cheap labor. Companies make maximum profits by shipping jobs overseas.

Technology in the form of automation will be the final nail in the labor coffin. As soon as machines can farm and build things faster than human beings, there will be even fewer jobs.

Not sure about where you all live but cashiers are disappearing around here. The honor system of self-checkout is in full swing.

Unless I'm in a hurry, I still look for a human being to ring up my purchases. But, I see the handwriting on the wall. The cashier's days are numbered.

Non-technical educated professionals will be replaced in a few decades too. I believe the pandemic was a dry run in showing how many white collar jobs (administrative and management) aren't required.

Folks need to strap in because if they don't know how to use their hands and/or mind to produce goods and services, it will be a perpetual "Winter in America".  😎

But some of yall don't like him.
You claim our brutha is an "ambulance chaser" have contempt for him, but it's ok when a White lawyer is doing it....lol.

Yep. I called Benny with that lisp a modern day ambulance chaser under the guise of civil rights. But, I have no contempt for him. Get paid. Help others get paid too. Do something with the money

I'm pro-Black to a fault but I still call balls and strikes as I see it. Anybody can get it.

When my people do well, I'm proud. When n8gglets are f8cking up, I acknowledge that too. I want black folks to win on all levels...constructively.

Beneath my intellect, there's also a comedian. Factor that into what I write as well. Emojis don't always get the point across.😎

  5. Yep. There is a fine line between spicy enough to enjoy and too hot to taste. 😁

When I cook for other folks' consumption, I do not compromise the flavor of food for the sake of bringing the heat. But, I've always got my own stash of hot sauce to top off my portion.

Cosby was a brilliant comedian. D8mn shame that dude looking chick helped in getting him thrown into greater confinement for a minute. White supremacy sent their message.

As it relates to eliminating confusion, it would help if artists and musicians wrote songs with a real message that made the listener think and learn.

Common is a conscience rapper. Jay-Z rapped that he could write lines like Common Sense but ever since he made $5 million, he ain't been rapping like Common since.

Fast forward to present and these mumble rap n8gglets are not only rapping about nonsense, they repeat the same dumb azz lines as if they have a speech impediment. That sh8t is to music what McDonald's is to nutrition. 😎

@ProfD I've been meaning to as you: To what do you contribute the high rate of suicide among policemen?

I think PTSD is the primary cause of it.  They deal with and see things that cannot be unseen and/or forgotten.

That's why I believe psychological evaluations need to be more extensive especially when folks want to go into law enforcement or military service.

Also, mental health really needs to be addressed in this country across the board. I believe many folks have pre-existing mental conditions that go undetected.

Anyone who's ever dealt with social services knows that some folks are unqualified to issue drivers licenses or food stamps. That funky azz attitude could be a mental problem. 😁😎

  7. Mzuri, all is well. No worries. I don't debate.

Most folks know how to comply with police. As I mentioned, most encounters end without a problem.

Unfortunately, there are ignorant people on both sides, citizens and law enforcement. That's when problems arise.

Some people have little or no regard for life whether it's their own or someone else's. That needs to be fixed.😎

There's massive amounts of landscaping and clean up that needs to be done too.

America should be beautiful everywhere we look. Not a piece of trash or a blade of grass  should be out of place.

No robots required. People need to get their hands dirty. 😎

I saw the Fanon reference.  He was heavy and a genius.  Gone too soon at 36 years old.  Yet, his work influenced so many others.  I was consumed with your racial detachment. 😁😎

I'm not surprised.  Between the stem cell injections and Botox shots, he has to get out of dodge before he falls asleep and/or starts melting.

A 35 year old person can run for POTUS.  Yet, the last two have been septuagenarian. By no means am I advocating age discrimination.

I just want 20 diverse and smart candidates on the next ballot for the general election. 😎

  11. Cynique, I'll eventually get used to this self-imposed divorce from the black race.

Also, I can definitely understand how the sight of rows of tall corn and wheat and sound of n8gglet farmers over time can be fatiguing.

In the meantime, I'll continue looking forward to enjoying whatever jewels you decide to drop. 🤗

The barbershop harmonies of the Four Freshmen gives me a visual of the saccharine 1950s.😁

But, it's cool. At least I know you like Chaka.   Keep the music coming too. 😎

The problem is not JUST "white supremacy"....but also Negro Stupidity.

I'm a huge fan of comedy.  That dude was one of the greatest to grace the planet.   👍

Glad my favorite living comedian (Dave Chappelle) gave him shine on his show.  Real recognize real.

Bummer that I didn't get to see Mooney perform live before he left the rock.😎

There is a lot that I don't like about the Chinese economy but what I DO like about it is it's DIVERSITY.

.....in China the government ensures that the Chinese labor force has a healthy mix of office jobs, skilled trades jobs, factory jobs, and agricultural jobs.
So where you don't qualify for ONE industry....you qualify for ANOTHER.

The manufacturing industry is alive and well in places like China and India where TENS of MILLIONS of people have relatively decent paying factor jobs still.
They're supporting their families off of the jobs they're working in factories and on farms.

I wouldn't call the Chinese employment program an exercise in diversity😁

Xi Jinping is gangsta as a benevolent dictator. He's running the country in excess of 1.5 billion people according to code (Communism).

China has a caste system and opportunities are handed out within it.  Same goes for India.

But, to your point, the US does have plenty blue and green collar work that needs to be done.  The Infrastructure program should address it. 😎

If we were to go strictly by that code, then a woman really shouldn't have ANY children because most AfroAmericans today can barely take care of THEMSELVES alone....let alone any dependents.

    On top of that....
A Black person in THIS society doesn't really know when they'll end up in GREATER CONFINEMENT and away from any children they may produce.

True.  That's why the code is  suggestions.  But, I think only reproducing that which one can afford makes sense.

I've never been a Franks fan.
It wasn't hot enough for me....LOL

I kicked it with the Tabasco sauce for a while until I started going to Mexican and Caribbean joints and getting the SHO' NUFF hot shit that they import from the islands.

Now I rocks with shit that's so hot that you'll be able to take a piss and light it up like Morris Day did in that one movie, lol.

I only mentioned Frank's because of the tag line.  It's not my hot sauce of choice either. Child's play.

I'm a hot sauce and spicy food connoisseur.  My dad started me out with Tabasco sauce when I was 5 years old.

I've graduated to hot sauces that will put the average person in the ER. 😁

I'm up to ghost pepper, habanero peppers, Scotch Bonnet, etc. Addicted to capsaicin close to 1 million SHUs (Scoville Heat Units). 😎

Mzuri, the code being referred to merely says that a woman should not have more children than she can afford to raise by herself. To your point, it is because the man may not be around to help for whatever reason. 😎

I'm beginning to wonder if the message itself might have to be SIMPLIFIED for the majority of our people (AfroAmericans) to receive it and accept it.

It's getting to the point that trying to have a basic common sense conversation with some of our people, especially many under 30....is like speaking to them in broken Espanol.

The message has to be blasted everywhere, print, media, music, etc.  Gotta put that sh8t on everything like it's Frank's Hot sauce. 😎

I think intelligent Black people should be business owners but I'm backing away from the idea of pushing  business ownership on Black audiences now unless I'm talking directly to people of a certain pedigree or on a certain level.
We know working a J-O-B for someone else isn't the quickest way to get rich, but most people aren't gonna get rich ANYWAY so why even put it in their minds to?
Somebody has to do the labor and keep society running, infact the vast majority of adults must willingly participate in this process.

Right.  Only a handful of people will start  businesses and somebody has to do the work. WEB DuBois called it the talented 10th.

However, if every worker has a an entrepreneurial mentality (think like a boss), they will own the work they do and enjoy it

Folks trade labor for money in jobs they hate and consume a bunch of unnecessary sh8t to make themselves feel better. Drugs and alcohol are popular.

If a business owner has motivated employees whether they are working on a farm or in a warehouse or office or driving a delivery vehicle,  who feel empowered and invested in the work they do, everyone benefits.

Rich is relative.  Being able to cover the basic necessities in life (shelter, food, clothing, transportation, entertainment, etc, ) without having to stress over it is enough for most people to feel rich. 😎

  19. IMO, folks have gotten weary and worn out by the word racism and don't really know what it means because "smarter" folks have miscontrued and misrepresented it.

However, once we codify that racism = white supremacy and hammer it home, that should should clear up any and all misunderstanding about the definition of racism.

Once folks understand  that racism is white supremacy, they can begin to see how it works in all areas of human activity (economics, education, entertainment, labor, law, politics, religion, sex and war).

Once the confusion is removed, folks can get down to the business of replacing the system of white supremacy with a system of  justice which is balance among people and correctness. 😎

With so many people having access to similar knowlege and information, it should be easier to determine whether or not "free and fair elections" have been compromised one way or another.

Meanwhile, there's enough conspiracy theories to keep folks dazed and confused; debating on the internet, TV and watering holes around the country.  Politics has become a circus and magic show for adults. 😁😎

It is important for families, non-traditional families - including single parents, cohabitating singles, and even single men and women to file a Will and set up a Trust Estate.

Definitely important to have a Will and Trust Estate. Black folks should have the equivalent of  a business plan when it comes to their investments (land & property).

For the longest time, black folks have stressed the importance of getting a good education in order to get a good paying job.

Well, a good paying job which usually means trading labor for an hourly wage leaves most people just over broke (job) especially once debt and consumerism are factored.

A savings account is not the same thing as an investment account. Land ownership means nothing if it is not appreciating in value and/or producing passive income

IMO, in addition to pushing a soild education to increase knowledge, skills and abilities, we should be teaching entrepreneurship and self-sufficiency by way of  learning how to build and maintain wealth which brings power.

Wealth is accumulated from producing goods and providing services and maintaining and controlling resources.

Of course, white supremacy has gotten a thousand year jump on the program but it's never too late to start thinking correctly and making the right moves. 😎

  22. Pioneer and Mzuri, you're both correct in this debate.

Folks should be able to afford the choices they make.

An insurance policy could take care of that mother and her children in the event of a tragedy.

However, as human beings, we should never leave others to suffer regardless of their choices and/or circumstances.

Unfortunately, the system of white supremacy has a way of obfuscating our humanity. 😎
