Not only is this natural, but it makes sense...doesn't it?

You didn't start off doing everything perfectly.

You made mistakes and hopefully you LEARNED from them and did better.

The fact that you're still living to communicate with me tell me you certainly DID learn from some of your mistakes, lol.

Sure. We should learn from our mistakes but nothing will undo the past.

Well first of all, how would you even KNOW life is better if you didn't have previous experiences to compare them TO?

It's easy to observe how things have changed over time.

To somebody 3 generations into Slavery, the best they know is having a good kindly Master.

They hadn't experiences a period of Freedom with which to COMPARE their condition to and realize that it's not good.

Right. We don't see how there was anything good about slavery.

Experiencing different generations and time periods not only give you a point of reference as to what was preferred and beneficial...but it also lets you know when and where something went WRONG and became negative.

Good if we actually did something to correct it.

i was referring to our existence overall.

You can't blame everything on Western greed.

Some of this shit is cultural.

Sure. However, the majority of human suffering & poverty is caused by greed.๐Ÿ˜Ž

There are literally MILLIONS of Black folks IN Texas!

Infact, according to a google search there are nearly 4 million Black folks in Texas making it the state with the largest Black population by numbers.

What is the Black population busy doing down there that they can't DEMAND a fair deal from the criminal justice system?

Exactly. There's no shortage of us in Texas.

I think in this case protests and marches should be the first line of defense and put into effect to SEE if it helps change the jury.

You're right. Black folks can pile up in those fancy vehicles they like to drive & head to McKinney. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜Ž

As I alluded to in my opening post, as we get older....the more qualified we are to compare and determine which generations are better in which respect.

Within every generation life is better for some than others.

Unless somebody is suffering from some sort of dementia, being older allows you to see things in society through a BETTER lens.

Considering the fact that in most major cities in the United States you can barely find a good Soul Food joint today, as opposed to 50 eyars ago when they were pretty abundant....I'm not sure what that tells you.

I clearly remember when Black-owned soul food spots & other businesses sold out to Asians.

Through my lens, I can see where life has gotten better but we still have a long way to go in making it so for everyone.

I don't believe we have to live in a world where some people have to be poor & suffer.

There's enough resources on this planet for every man, woman & child to have a good quality of life.๐Ÿ˜Ž

California voters want to know who won elections. The wai...

Election watchers say it could still be a few more days before tight races are called, including the California gubernatorial and L.A. mayoral primaries.

Despite having access to computer technology, it still takes a while for the state of California to count votes in elections.

The funniest thing is the GOP believing a former actor could become mayor of Los Angeles & one of their commentators could become governor.

California has been a blue state for a long time. They did elect Arnold Schwarzenegger as governor.

None of the GOP candidates will tally enough votes in a general election to unseat the democratic candidate.

Democratic senate candidate James Talarico stands a better chance of getting past flawed GOP candidate Ken Paxton in ruby red Texas.

Otherwise, modern technology should be able to tabulate votes & declare a winner on election night. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Based on our current trajectory, I could see us reaching a time where one could reasonably say we were better off 50 years prior.

There will always be people who think [insert timeframe here] was better depending on their environment, conditions, circumstances, situation, etc.

The reality is that the present is always better for some people & not so great or worse for others.

Life is what we make it to the extent that we have any control.๐Ÿ˜Ž

@ProfD he stabbed the kid to death. They were on the same team. I don't know what happened, but there is little in my book that would justify snuffing out someone's life.

Now if the white kid was a shot-putter and the Black kids could not take him without a weapon, OK, but still murder is too high a price -- what did the white boy actually do to the Brother?

It helps to know the facts of the case. There is more to it.

The kids were at the same track event but not on the same team.

The Black kid did not just pull a knife & unalive the white kid.

Basically, the white kid confronted the Black kid in a threatening manner.

Black kid told him to back-off. White kid FAFO & now he's no longer here.

Supposedly, the Black kid murdered the white kid in self-defense. We'll find out more as the trial progresses. Again, Texas does have stand your ground law.

In the Crash situation, the mean girl is standing her ground by exhibiting her sense of entitlement & white privilege. The question is why does she even have a documentary.

I dunno. How often do either of you watch BET+ nowadays?

Admittedly, I do not watch BET+ but I know a lot of people that do.

IMO, Paramount would not have bought BET+ if there was no value there.

Even if BET+ had become a streaming platform with ads, the same people would have watched it. Especially as folks cut the cable.

I thought when Spirit Airlines filed for bankruptcy and was on its last legs, this would've been a good opportunity for a black investment group to step in and take it over.

They could've changed its name from "Spirit" Airlines to "Soul" Airborne.

Another missed opportunity for Black investment.

Soul Airborne could have given Southwest Airlines a run for the money.

Whole lotta Black folks bring their chicken & Chinese food on their Southwest flights.๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜Ž

  9. The handwriting has been om the wall since the Ellisons through Paramount Skydance have been gobbling up mass media companies.

Before POTUS OJ leaves office, a lot of news will be right-wing & TV programming will be heavily white nationalistic.

Paramount bought BET+ from Tyler Perry. It will be absorbed into Paramount+. I do not foresee Paramount pushing Black content.

Hopefully the move to white nationalism will disappear whenever the reign of POTUS OJ ends.๐Ÿ˜Ž

Is there any surprise a Black man in Texas would not get a fair deal from the criminal justice system.

Yet, there's no shortage of Black faces in high places in Texas.

    What do you suggest?

For starters, AfroAmericans should stop spending their money in non-Black businesses & stop trying to live in non-Black areas.

Even harder to protect the most vulnerable when our people live in predominantly white areas.๐Ÿ˜Ž

The trial of Karmelo Anthony is more proof that race is still a major factor of division here in the USA in 2026.

An all-white jury has already been selected in McKinney, Texas.

Nevermind the fact that this young man was defending himself in the stand your ground state of Texas.

Many believe the trial is nothing more than a dog & pony show where the fix is already in that this young man will be found guilty.

As unfortunate as it would be, I would not be surprised by that outcome. I hope a miracle prevails & he's found not guilty.

Tears & T-shirts & protests & marches have proven to be ineffective.

At some point, Black folks have to take action to keep ourselves from being victimized & railroaded under the system of racism white supremacy.๐Ÿ˜Ž

Imo, the problem is not whether elections are held, It's whether the loser will go quietly without claiming the outcome was rigged.

Since both parties draw millions of votes, it's just hard for me to believe that either side will meekly consent to living under a type of government they passionately disapprove of, for the next 4 years.

Something's gotta give, considering how divided the country has become.

    Understood.

If today's climate is any indication, there's no major protests or backlash against the current administration.

The left doesn't have any fight in them. They've all but disappeared as POTUS OJ & the GOP run roughshod over the government.

Remains to be seen if there will be a wider scale January 6th type event if the right loses the White House.

Regardless of whether the GOP wins or loses, POTUS OJ will have to leave. He doesn't have that kind of power over the US military.

IMO, both the GOP & MAGA folks are enjoying the circus as they did the 1st time around. This is its last merry-go-round. They will go home when it's over.

I predict that 3 years from now, the divide in this country will tamp down & some semblance of normalcy will return. All of this chaos will be a distant memory like the pandemic.๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜Ž

    Well....

If they're NOT intelligent but rather stupid barbarians.....what does that say about the intellect and status of the people THEY'RE ruling over?

Being non-violent & fearing death doesn't make people less intelligent.

Conversely, is the person who straps on a bomb & blows up a bunch of sh8t & themselves more intelligent than everyone else?

A bully or someone prone to violence doesn't make them any stronger or more intelligent than it makes a non-violent person look weak & stupid.

I believe in violence but not because I'm barbaric or unintelligent.
